Very good addictive game. Last time I played it was a few months ago…maybe I go back to it soon!
My favourite game of all time
No, thanks Civilization for teaching me. Otherwise I wouldn’t have known the Great Wall of China was built by the US and Germany destroyed Greece in 1012 AD
My favorite history lesson from Age of Empires 2 was how Joan of Arc commanded an army of sports cars capable of firing machine guns.
I blame AOE2 for my everlasting interest in history.
Wololo
Greatest childhood con I ever pulled was talking my mother into buying this game because it’s “basically a history lesson wrapped in a game.” Although I guess it worked because I was obsessed and eventually got a history degree.
Thank you Age of Empire 1.
Loved this game.
Too many people sleep on Empire Earth as well.
It actually did help me when my grade schools Geography bee back in 5th grade! Gave the the knowledge to make an educated guess at the location of some Science lab that was on the coast of Egypt but I recognized the body of waters name from playing the AoE 2 campaign missions for Saladin.
I corrected my history teacher on some stuff because of Age of Empires 2 lol
I did homework using the DS version as reference xD
The first ranked season of Age of Empires 4 starts next week.
Have you played the remake? They added so much new content, it’s amazing.
