Saw Garrett Klahn from TITR and Evan from Into It Over It play an apartment to like, 30 people back in either late 2012 or early 2013. Was so fucking sick.
YouTube *technically* has the album art wrong. [This](https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-000062768737-kx6u2j-t500x500.jpg) is the cover of the split EP (w/ The Promise Ring) that this track was originally on.
I guess the compilation of all of Texas’ stuff did end up packaged with the Do You Know Who You Are art, so it comes out in the wash. Always liked the split art more, though.
They have always been peak emo to me. Them and Mineral. Seriously, there was so much good shit coming out in the mid to late 90s, and I loved it.
The other side of this 7″ is also very dope: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAEIRWygHNE
Lol I love your genre tag
When ever I see the name I have to finish the lyric texas is the reason…that the president’s dead
I like this. Thanks, Greg from Utah!
I still play this regularly
I randomly found this TIR split with The Promise Ring in my collection. Forgot I had it.
Wow man, haven’t listened to these guys in years. What a nostalgic tune.
Dude, I just listened to this album yesterday because I was feeling nostalgia. “Back and to the Left” is so damn catchy. This band never got the notoriety they deserved.
I can’t believe how much music exploded after Unfun came out it was like pop rocks and soda.
You unlocked some mEMOries for me. thank you.
Just got this last week on CD after a recommendation from a friend. Instantly reminded of Mineral and a bit of TBS. Good stuff.
If you enjoy this come on over to r/emo !
My favorite album that I ever picked up that I knew nothing about the band or type of music they played. I bought the album purely on their name and loved the album
True Story, Chicago: went to record store to buy this split EP (unheard). Found the sleeve, empty.
Employees & I looked for 10 min or so, no luck.
Then someone realized it was playing on the overhead as we were looking.
TEXAS FOREVER!
BACK AND TO THE LEFT off the same record is even better imo
no thanks but i like the song name
The band that got me into emo.
This might be the most important band of my youth, together with Minor Threat. I went to see TiTR in London in 2012, after listening to them since 95. It was the last show of their tour, they were supposed to call it quits after that show and I stood there crying like crazy. Good times!
Reminds me of The Forecast.
Good stuff.
This is emo. Not “when we were young” fest. THIS is emo.
Never heard these guys, but holy heck it takes me back!
I saw them three or four times! This album is so great. I also just aged myself.
Their guitarist is filling in for Thursday and they played a TitR song when they came through, it was the highlight of their set
Catching the Appleseed Cast and Jeremy Eingk was rad as well
Now if I could just see Braid and Cap’n Jazz I would die happy lol
Every time I listen to TITR I feel like I am in high school again driving around with my friends. Thanks for showing me I am not the only person still listening to them.
