For someone whos dropped off since the end kf matt smiths run, is there any context needed to understand whats going on now, or is pretty much just tenant is the doctor again?
Despite what people are saying, no, you probably don’t have to be familiar with Capaldi and after in order to pick up the show again and be able to follow along.
Jodie’s run was a giant ball of crazy. Even if they continue those story arcs, they’ll have to explain them properly if they bring them back because none of us understood any of it the first time.
As for Capaldi, his stories wrap up the loose ends from Moffat’s era, but again I don’t see that affecting Tennant II.
Yes this is exciting indeed! I have always had a soft spot for Dr.Who I find the story telling to be absurd, crazy, insane. Yet they make it fit so well together. One of my favorites
Meep! – he was my favourite comic villan by far! Assuming the comics and big finish past adventures with Meep won’t be cannon for this part of the TV series either – but who cares. Looking forward to seeing how they manage not to make him completely annoying on screen
Kinda sad to see David Tennant doing the same thing again. I dunno, playing it the same while being so much older just feels wrong. I felt the same about Han Solo in Star Wars TFA. I’d rather he did something a little different
Doctor who fares so poorly that they had to bring back the two doctors pretty much everyone loved and Donna who also was one of the top companions.
That being said, I am going to watch this special, I highly doubt it’ll have any connection to the seasons I missed, and I will await the new doctor act/scripts
There was always something special about Donna when compared to the other companions. Like all the other companions looked up to the Doctor. Put them on a pedestal. Donna didn’t do that. She grabbed the Doctor by the collar and made them stand next to her as equals. Yes, the Doctor is a hyper-intelligent, ever changing alien that is hundreds of years old but to Donna, the Doctor still burped and farted like the rest of them. She saw the mortal in the Doctor. And I think the Doctor needed that from time to time. Someone they could relax around and mess up without being told, *”But you are “THE DOCTOR!” How could YOU mess up?”*
Happy 60th Doctor. Well, only 59th for now, let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
Honestly, getting a trailer for something that will only air a year from now is fucking rare. Let’s savor it.
ALLONS Y

RTD came back to make his own series 5. I love it
Are we really getting live-action Beep the Meep for the first time? Insane

Hot damn, that production value looks amazing. The teaser’s great, but DW has burned me before, so I’ll wait and see.
This looks like it has bigger budget but it also doesn’t have that Doctor Who look.
60th?!?!?! This really is some Doctor Who shit.. 50th was what… like last year!?! This timeline is bonkers, bonkers I tell You!
I just started hyperventilating. Feels good to be excited about Doctor Who again.
This actually looks pretty good. Gonna be a long wait to watch it
Can’t believe we have to wait a whole year 😭 Looks so good. Time to rewatch the whole series between now and Nov 23.

I’m just excited that Donna Noble is here
How I met the Doctor

Paw patrol vibes in that logo. But other than that I’m excited!
I haven’t watched this show since the 50 year episode which I really enjoyed so will probably give this a go.
I’m very confused, I thought it was supposed to be that kid from Sex Education

Dr. Who has been around for 60 years? seriously?
I never got into the show. but damn. that is some run.
Cool trailer… but what’s the point when we’re all going to forget it since likely the special will come out more than 6 months from now.
***GAHWD***, this looks so *gooooood*.

I am glad to see her back.
I can’t wait for this. I cried tears of joy when I saw David regenerate back at the end of this past season.
That new theme is pretty hype
As Donna did get married, is that her daughter? I suppose not.
Please BBC, for the Love of God, can we stop with the bullshit Teal-and-Orange and go back to having programmes in colour?
When’s this coming out roughly do we know?
This taste test has passed. I will take two servings please and thank you.
ok am I the only one who looked at this and had the initial thought of “is that scott the woz?”
Haven’t been this eager to see Doctor Who since I was a kid !
That Disney money!
I’m straight but damn tennant has aged like fine wine
They should take a play out of Community’s season 4 playbook and call the 13th Doctor’s series the ‘gas leak in the Tardis’ season.
