I hope those workers got the extra $100 an hour raise
A perfect example of a “junk fee” that Biden is trying to get rid of.
It already costs $12 for $3 worth of food. The employee’s wages aren’t the problem here…
Cool, so not going to six flags anymore
So price increase?
Junk fees are pathetic.
Ffs just raise the fucking prices by $1. This can literally be made up if the marketing teams do their jobs.
F*ck all the way off to whoever decided to post that message. Good for the workers
What a stupid fuckin sign. Just increase the price by $1. Nobody would question it.
And that’s on top of the $23 fountain soda here?!
Just went to SeaWorld. They have a 5% surcharge on all orders. How can they do that? Just list the price as 5% more. It applied to all items so the price was not the price.
how do you say “we don’t want to use the massive profits to pay our workers correctly” without saying “we don’t want to pay our workers correctly”
Just
raise
your
fucking
prices
.
Don’t try to blame it on labor or supply chains or “people just don’t want to work any more”. If you want more money just ask for more money and people can buy it or tell you to fuck off.
I’m sure none of it is making it to the workers
An employers attempt to get public outrage against “greedy” employees. Just proves how out of touch these people are.
Spend some of that on a proofreader.
The bakery I used to work at started doing this a couple of years ago for transactions over $5 to offset rising cost so that they wouldn’t have to raise the cost of their items. Fast forward two years and 6 cookies went from $7.95 to $12~. They still charge that fee too. I’m not sure what the cost are now but when I worked there it was $0.11 for a chocolate chip $0.12 if you took a napkin. A 16″ round cookie cake cost them $3 and they charged $32.99, I think it’s $36.99 now.
$5 for a 30cent bottle of water, $10 for a $2 hotdog in places like that. They are full of shit. Their markups are already absolutely disgusting. I won’t even go to those placed anymore. I just feel like I’m getting price gouged at every opportunity. It’s gross.
100% of that surcharge did not go to the employees here, I can promise that.
Corporations trying to turn customers against their employees.
Our country is sick.
Our illness is billionaires.
The CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corp earns approximately 634x the average worker wage. Labor costs are *not* the fucking issue.
Economists in the ’80s and ’90s argued that companies should target a 20:1 ratio of CEO to worker pay. So if you are making $1 million, the average salary of your staff is $50k. Seems pretty reasonable. They said this is the ideal ratio to maintain morale, sustain the economy, and still allow executives to make bank.
Today the market average is closer to 400:1, with some of the worst offenders passing 3,000:1. This is *not* an economy for everyone to enjoy… This is an economy for the rich to get richer while the rest of us starve.
What did the roller coasters go on strike.
My dad joke for the evening everyone
Why not just raise prices then?
Me seeing this: this sucks wtf
Me charging $20 for umbrellas and $.30 for the bathroom in roller coaster tycoon: yes hahaha yes
