Holy shit… a positive thread on Star Citizen in the gaming sub?!
We must’ve branched timelines lol
Love this game and while there is legitimate discussion to be and with its speed bumps in development, it’s a damn unique experience that I keep coming back to.
There’s a huge difference between the level of advanced gaming some people have over others. I’m just sitting with my $200 laptop playing Dwarf Fortress having a blast and this dude’s doing this. Super awesome
star citizen, even despite all its issues and empty (as of now) promises, is still a remarkable technological achievement. i think star citizen is a game everyone has heard of, but not many have actually played, which leads to a lot of people not understanding or appreciating the sheer scale and fidelity of the game. as of now it is probably the largest high fidelity open world in gaming history
I watched a video a few years ago of this guy playing this game and he does this loop through the city and lands perfectly on top of a building. It looked so real I had to do a double take the first time I watched it. Lol
I don’t have a gaming PC, but this game makes me want to get one.
The coolest thing about this is the developers didn’t decide to make the sunset look that way, but rather they made a realistic spherical planet with a light scattering atmosphere that rotates creating realistic sunsets as a side effect for the same reasons we get them here on earth.
Gorgeous.
A “see how far graphics have come” moment.
What game is this?
What game is this?
I’m hoping it’s Star Citizen.
Things have improved a little since PS2
That’s why I continue to love this game.
Ok so im gonna need 2x 3090ti to run this right?
Every iteration of the cloud tech gets better.
What am i supposed to see here
with a very high quality headset this must be such an experience

Magnificent .. what’s the game?
I’ve had 3 kids since I backed this game. I will never be able to play it as I had hoped

god this got upvoted fast, from like 100 to 3K in like 1-2 hours
Star citizen has volumetric clouds now? I’ve sunk some money into the game, here’s hoping it actually pans out sometime in the 2020s.
I’m assuming the sound of air wooshing isn’t from the game but your GPU fan as it struggles to not burst into flames.
That’s awesome!

This is from Star Citizen, new cloud tech I think, not sure if this is from Live servers or not.
I played some Star Citizen today, it’s come A LONG way. Still a bit barren but things seem to be coming together, slowly.
This is absolutely stunning.

It’s Star Citizen, for those who don’t know
Man those water droplet effects are on point
