Summer and Beth in the opening, but their voices transfer to Rick and Morty.
I think it’s obvious at this point that this will be the last season that Justin Roiland will voice any character on Rick and Morty. Typically voice recording is done before any major animation is completed. Animation takes a long time to complete, especially on this show, and all this shit with Roiland only began earlier this year (feels like a decade ago at this point). They’re probably still doing a talent search for the replacement voices, which is why we haven’t heard any announcements regarding the recasting (and of course why they just brought in Sarah Chalke and Spencer Grammer to do this promo).

This show really fell from glory. No one ever cares about it anymore. Even the R&M memes died.
I’d be down for a Summer & Beth a-plot that’s just them dealing with how their relationship has changed. Not just because of the events of the show, but because Summer’s growing up. Maybe get some of Beth’s perspective on how her relationship with her own mother was.
Beth: “Do you think we did okay?”
Summer: “Its a low bar.”
Was that meant to be a shot at Roiland?
I like how they hid the voice for Rick and Morty to give it more of a surprise

I always wondered if they’d continue making the simpsons after the cast started dying but if they’ll continue rick and morty after the creator was found to be a kidnapping lunatic, anything is possible

I found season 5 quite underwhelming. I had the feeling that the writers weren’t that inspired and implicated as before.
Did season 6 get better ? I couldn’t even be bothered to watch it…
I really want to see Summer’s Mind Blowers
Wish they would just rip the band-aid off for the new voices for the main characters. Feels like the longer they wait the more disappointed people are going to be.
Just drop it now and let people get used to it by the time the season drops, instead of hiding it and not showing it until the episode.
Given the show I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t have some plot where they aren’t in the first episode, or they lose their ability to speak or something, then the last 10 seconds one of them finally says like 1 word.
Sarah Chalke has the most unique laugh, it’s great.
Are fans still behind this show? Didn’t something happen to the creator?
Gotta say, I am NOT looking forward to a new VA for Rick and Morty. I really didn’t like the new VO for solar opposites, it was just jarring to me. In my opinion, a non accented VA would’ve been less harsh, but I didn’t really like the new season of SO that much.
Morty already dated Jessica last season.
It uh.. it didn’t end well.
I do not care any more since Justin Roiland was removed to replace him is gutting the show.
