This is a proper nerdgasm. This channel was always full of joy. It was a great distraction at that time, for sure.
The fuck? I watched the whole thing?
I highly suggest checking out their other videos as well! I originally discovered them through this video and they instantly became one of my favorite channels in YouTube. Daily quality content with fantastic puzzles and lovely banter between Simon and Mark.
This is the content I live for. Never thought seeing a sudoku solver going from flaccid to erect would be something I relate to, however I am now TURGID
“Loses his mind” in the most British way. 😂
I’ve never played Sudoku and just spent the last 26 minutes watching this.
I’ve watched this a few times before, and I watched the entire thing again. I love watching how his mind works. It’s funny when he says he’ll likely end it after five minutes, knowing the video is almost 25 minutes long. His appreciation of the setter’s skill, completely distracting from his own skill, is very wholesome.
I love going back to this video just to watch his slow realization that the puzzle can be solved. You can feel the gears turning after that long pause when says he says there’s nothing else he can work with, then just says “……..although having said that…….:
Simply amazing. I don’t get sudoku but this was sublime!
I’m not even really a sudoku fan, but I watched this twice already. It’s really interesting how it all works and comes together.
I watch this chanel almost every night before bed.
Always his videos, he explains his thoughts so well and is very enthusiastic, knowledgable and just so wholesome overall.
Perfect to cool down for the day.
This video is basically

The rotational symmetry is easier than he first describes. Two adjacent numbers are always two cells apart (one cell in between) if you wrap vertically or horizontally. You can see it when you get to around 4 and then fill the rest in really fast.
Why would he be surprised that is solvable? There are so many restrictions most of these are easier than real sudoku.
i like how the numbers are arranged in the same order for every box
top left box – 4 8 3, 7 2 6, 1 5 9
top middle box – 7 2 6 1 5 9 4 8 3
top right – 1 5 9 4 8 3 7 2 6
I can relate! Watching Sudoker Solver is like my guilty pleasure for nerd entertainment. #satisfying
I totally feel that nerdgasm, Sudoku is almost as satisfying as chocolate. Almost.
This was an absolute pleasure to watch.
Amazing to watch; thanks OP.
