Woah what game is this?
Edit: Ahh Star Wars: Yoda Stories by Lucas Arts
I loved this game
Literally billions of games! All on this one disk….
Billions of LIIIIIEEEES…
I love that game. I might do that to install black and white 2 to be able to play it well.
Maybe next install Civ II or Warcraft II! I’m pretty sure that half of my waking life in middle school was spent on those two games alone… then came Mario 64 and Zelda: OoT
my first bought pc game.
how does it hold up today?
My cousin had this game and I was so jealous. That little douche never even let me play it.
Holy hell, Yoda Stories. I remember this coming pre-installed in one of my earlier PCs. I remember hating it at first (because I didn’t know how to actually play), then spending many late night playing this (and forgetting to do my homework).
Feels like forever ago.
Don’t forget there was a similar game with Indiana Jones too called: Indiana Jones and his desktop aventures. Absolutely awesome
Is this the one where Indiana Jones takes you away at the end or is that a different one?
Oh man nostalgia
***I HATE SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND***
I’m definitely having weird nostalgia like I must have played this one time for a few minutes…. It looks so familiar, but I seem to remember never getting to play the full game.
I bought this, i have no idea what was going on. And i didn’t understand English at the time.
I met him in a swamp down on Dagobah. I asked him his name and in a raspy voice he said Yoda. Y-O-D-A Yoda. Yo-yo-yo-yo-yo-daaaa.
Ah yes. The game that taught me the word “spanner”
one of my childhood favs
Boy, this is a memory I didn’t remember I had. Played the heck out of this game.
A game I knew was crap, yet put hours into anyway for some reason.
Took me awhile to figure out how to play then it was fun. Felt strange that Luke didn’t want to fight the imperial guards on one level.
My childhood game was Populous: The Beginning on Win 98. Which surprisingly runs just fine on Windows 11 (through GOG)
Took me 3 hours to install back then, so I of course had plenty of time to do chores and help My dad clean the basement
I wanted Dark Forces, my mom got me Yoda Stories. Got Dark Forces later on. Yoda Stories won for most hours played.
Ooh, I remember this! I loved it so much.
That interface made me think of Castle of the Winds…back when you had to mail a cheque to some random address in the US for the rest of the game 😭
If I install windows 98 on my computer will I be able to use my old CD-ROMs?
Does anyone knows the name of the Indiana Jones game that looks kinda the same as this one?
