The proof is wrong, but the concept is right:
4^2 – 3^2 = 4+3= 7
5^2 – 4^2 = 5+4=9
6^2 – 5^2 = 6+5=11
and so on
In general:
X^2 – (X-1)^2 = X + X + 1
