I had to start going to bed really early to feel the effects. I’m in bed reading at 830 so I’m asleep at 9ish and my alarm is set for 530, so I get about 9 hours if you include the 30 mins I spend getting properly tired and staying off my phone, but in reality I usually wake up at 430ish because I just get more than enough sleep and I feel good waking up naturally instead of being woken up. But that also took me going to bed at the same time on the weekends and often earlier than 830 really consistently for months.
It’s a process and it can be hard to keep because of life getting in the way, but it helps me keep a good sleep schedule and I rarely feel tired throughout the day the way that I used to. If I could I’d rather go to bed later and wake up with the sun but my job schedule doesn’t allow for that, so I make do
I go to bed around 8 and get up at 3 every day and I think it has made my life better. I have my coffee and internet time, workout, clean, do a few misc chores all before I go to work. When I get home that time is then for whatever the fuck I want because all that shit I don’t like to do after work cuz I’m tired has been done already. I can work in yard, watch a movie, jerk off till my dick is sore, do one of my hobbies, jerk off till my dick is sore, play a game, jerk off till my dick is sore, anything I want.
The change in attitude about time helped me a lot and I highly recommend it.
I had a few months when this actually worked well. It was when I had quit coffee. Lol. Unfortunately Started drinking espressos and cups of coffee again. I’ll see if I can find the will power to quit one more time.
That’s exactly my routine now for almost 4 years. Considering that I was a “night owl” before, sleeping from 5 to 13. As expected, the first month or two were hard. Not sleepy enough to go that early and too sleepy to do anything productive for the first couple of hours.
After about 5 or 6 months I was waking up on my own at 4.30+.It is a bit overkill, I guess 22 to 6 is a better sweet spot than 21 to 5.
There are some good things about this schedule, after I’m done with work there’s still plenty of services available and out of rush hours if I have to take care of something. Going anywere outside of the majority makes everything feel calmer. Too be honest, I wish that not too many people around me get the hang of this just to keep things that way. Let’s just see if this have any advantage once children are involved.
Where’s his morning hard?
Yeah, most of us aren’t farmers anymore and we have electric lights.
I thought it was healthy and wise
Happy isn’t one of the things listed
I find it still hard, but the biggest change for me was when I actually started to go to bed early 😂
“Early to bed”
9PM
Me: Dude, that’s late as hell. I’m usually asleep by 6PM but I’m also out the door by 4AM.

Yeah, a job will do this to you Lol
That phrase was clearly before we figured out that people have different circadian rhythms.
End the oppression of the early birds and acknowledge the validity of night owls!

After one day yeah. You gotta get used to it.

Shoot I aim for bed by 10pm to start waking up for 5:10
Just just do 11or 12 til 4:25 on work days. Don’t feel much of a need for an extended sleep

I love the Animaniacs take on this, “Early to rise and early to bed, makes a man healthy, but socially dead.”
Honestly relatable though

Your body should wake up on your own without any alarms
