I tried decorating my ship at the start, but I left and came back and all the items I dropped had clipped halfway into whatever they had been sitting on so I haven’t bothered since.
I really thought I was on r/TF2 and this was a community map at first.

I was in space trying to loot a ship I just destroyed, and it told me my cargo was full. I looked at my list and it had all the items inside my ship on there, tons of cooking stuff and random items and props and crap I never even noticed. I jettisoned all of it, then I went back into my ship and it looks hilariously empty lol.

Yeah, until you literally change ANYTHING about the ship in the editor (even just changing the color of a single piece on your ship) and then EVERY loose item on your ship is moved to the cargo hold and you have to start placing every item all over again 🤣
too bad theres no way to make an item become static, it gets annoying to bump into them and they fall over.
Not having played this game, I don’t know how it works, but all I can think of “when that ship accelerates, those are a lot of projectiles lying around.”
