I remember a similar video that compared Far Cry 5 and Cyberpunk 2077. Far Cry 5 had some good story moments, but ultimately Cyberpunk was far better in that regard. Similar to the Witcher 3 where every quest was immersive and didn’t feel generic. Cyberpunk was shit at launch, but ultimately delivered in giving an immersive RPG experience…Eventually. Far Cry 5 was pretty forgettable.
They focused on how shooting bullets at the water looked more realistic and other random environmental effects looked nicer in Far Cry 5 than Cyberpunk. In an RPG. That doesn’t matter so much. Skyrim is still a great game, even if it is outdated and not visually exciting.
Its sort of like comparing Call Of Duty with Spec Ops: The Line. One focuses on graphics and a linear story and ultimately just wants to be a multiplayer game and the other focuses on telling a unique story. It’s silly to compare the two.
Normal Bethesda game, I’ve always like Bethesda games, but they are all pretty much the same. They are still fun, but I just find them very bland/generic.
Starfield has been so jarring for me, because i literally finished a replay of cyberpunk the day before starfield unlocked.
Im trying to keep an open mind and be positive about Starfield because i kind of knew what i was getting myself into before I started it, but it feels less polished than even Fallout 4 (a game i love). Environments in Starfield feel too sterile and plastic. I wish especially wish that player voice lines had been narrated.
But yeah, theres no fair comparison between starfield and cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is light years ahead of Starfield in virtually every measurable way.
I know it’s obviously a design choice. One that I will never understand personally. But it nevertheless seems so off putting with how sterile and minimalistic everything seems. From the menus which are like clinical off white patient rooms. To the text and text boxes. The HUD. Everything is so small and same looking. Or just unintuitive like that worthless map. The landscapes are empty, the walls and floors in places like in the video, even clothes look like they have no texture applied to them. Just plain and shiny.
It’s tough to believe these are the same people that did Skyrim and Fallout.
When Cyberpunk was first released, there was the same comparison of Cyberpunk to Saints Row, painting Cyberpunk in the same picture you are now trying to create. I’m not a fan of Starfield, but this comparison isn’t fair, considering that one game was released just last week while the other was released over two years ago and has received numerous updates.
I somehow got the impression it was like No Man’s Sky with way more engaging/real graphics. It’s not, it’s a Bethesda RPG in a space setting. No survival elements, and every single thing is instanced. The amount of loading screens is bananas. It’s like you’re playing on a Nintendo 64 with no ram.

Prolly a dumb question but is Starfield worth the hype? Haven’t heard much about the actual game other than it’s coming out.
Ngl, I’ve seen a lot of people praising cyberpunk recently, and it seems like some of y’all have a short, short, short fucking memory.
I’m sure the game is better now, but a lot of you seem to forget exactly what it was like before the 10,000 patches and updates.
Because if you did, you wouldn’t be holding it as a good standard to compare other games to.
Good comparison since I felt Cyberpunk 2077 just wanted to be Fallout 4, but with a Cyberpunk coating.

I really wasn’t expecting the npcs to not react….
I was saying this when I was watching Starfield Streams on Day 1. “Cyberpunk is better than this.”

These could’ve launched on the 360 and would run fine 😂

Not good or bad, but for me, not what I want.
Dumbest clickbait post yet
The ladies eyes at 1:07 wanted to pop out of her sockets in shock. I see nothing wrong with that.
