They couldn’t make it worse than *last* season if they tried, so there’s that.

A lot of early reviews are more positive than I expected. hard to tell who is getting paid off, but there are twitter folks who hated season 1/2 who got to see the first few and are saying that the first few episodes of season 3 are good.
Hopefully the show massively benefited from a new showrunner. I’m still going to stay skeptical but stranger things have happened.
Edit: I can’t tell if I’m being downvoted for being open minded about the season and not immediately calling it blasphemy before I even watch an episode or because I remained cynical about some early reviews

Had no idea this was even a show, but after seeing that season trailer, I’m glad I never watched this show and can only imagine how bad this show is.
I will say this for the most part Picard seems to be acting more like Picard instead of acting like Patrick Stewart. Also I have this season is a vast improvement over the first 2 seasons.

I’m the kinda fan who will watch it regardless if it’s good or bad, I’ll find something to like in it. Like all that ship porn scenes.

I hope it finishes well. I thought S1 was pretty good – S2 was fairly tough to watch.
They’re trying to make it look more fun and less downbeat than the first two seasons but I’m not buying it. TNG is in my top 3 shows of all time but this spin off has defecated all over it so far. No reason to believe that will change now.

This show is a defiled skeleton of what once was a great series.
Eh, season 1 had its moments but overall wasn’t too good. I found season 2 to be pretty awful. I guess I’ll give this another go just because its Piccard and Patrick Stewart, but I don’t have high hopes.

Just finished watching the latest episode of Last of Us which was one of the most beautiful episodes of television I’ve ever seen.
It’s sad that the first two seasons of Picard weren’t made with a similar level of care. Star Trek is always at its best when the writing is at its best. I sincerely hope we get a story worthy of this cast for season three.
As a huge Trek fan (of the 66-05 stuff anyways) I should be super pumped these guys are back together however nothing here excites me at all. I just watched a random TNG episode today and that sounds more appealing than this. I guess we’re supposed to just forget Picard is actually a robot now? Who cares what happens to robot Picard.

Too little too late. We should have had a proper TNG series from the start, with the look and writing to match it. Instead we’re getting somebody’s terrible idea of fan-fiction.
