Meh. Could have made a lot of jokes about their compatibility. Bro looks like Shrek, and she’s a solid 9. Also her English wasn’t that bad. Probably his parents don’t speak English at all.
I’m not really into this kind of comedy where there is a reliance on laughing at the foibles of the audience. It seems kinda cheap and there is a lot of it these days. I’d rather have well written observational comedy with an occasional destruction of a heckler here and there. someone who can go up and do a 5 or 10 minute solid bit is where it’s at.Comedy is hard after all.
What is up with all these new stand-up comedians going for this low-hanging crowd-work instead of content that makes people have a good laugh. Not saying it’s bad but if that’s your only thing it gets a bit boring. Nobody can be the likes of Ricky Gervais, Bill Burr or Dave Chappell but you can try to have some of your own material instead of picking on an audience member and having a laugh at their expense. Accent, nationality, looks, sexual orientation are easy shots.. bet you someone in the crowd will laugh at it and now you have something to build on. There’s another guy that posts in the sub regularly.. some of his bits land but most are cringey.
I would be so sad, if I go to get a laugh of whatever a comedian is saying, and got picked out and used as a prop. My flaws pointed out or my looks ridiculed! I just wanna laugh, not be in the spotlight like that.
I’ve never been to this kind os standup. Is that a normal thing, because I’ve seen in a lot lately.
I have noticed that not all pick outs is a tool to point out a strangers looks, but still, is it a normal thing?
And yes, sure, I should avoid that kind of show, if that’s a thing. I’m too afraid to get picked, for whatever reason.

What’s it with sign language and comedians?
She’s trying. That shouldn’t be ignored.
Not funny making fun of someone who is speaking another language.
That isn’t funny at all.
This got me🤣
Love it let me bring my mail order bride to the front row of a stand up show and get absolutely roasted whilst looking very very uncomfortable..
