Tell people about your dad. All the time. May he Rest In Peace and whenever you need inspiration as a family man, remember your dad brought his family half way around the planet for a better life.
Dude My grandpa designed parts of the International space station. Your dad and my grandpa might have worked together on some stuff. Thank you for sharing the awesome photo take care dude 🙂
Sorry for your loss. Its always comforting to remember the best parts of your dad including his love for you and yours for him. Hang on to the good memories.
Hey, my great uncle, who died 2 weeks ago, had a similarish story. He was born in Russia during the late 1920s, his parents brought him to the US before he was 1. As he grew up he made money selling newspapers on the corner near the apartment building his family lived in. His parents died before 1950, so he raised his sister(my grandma) after he got back from fighting in WW2/Korea. He eventually went on to lead the team at NASA that made the back up guidance system in the apollo 13 mission. I miss him, he was a smart, stubborn guy. May he rest in peace.
I’m grateful for his service to the country, but imagine how the work he did will reverberate for centuries or millennia! We know more about the universe than we probably would’ve if your dad hadn’t done his job. That’s something to be extraordinarily proud of. May his memory be a blessing.
