Can confirm, am 34 and pimples still show their ugly face from time to time. A lot of times it’s from shaving my face and an area just gets irritated. But other times it seems to be completely random and for no reason at all. How fun.
Everyone’s different but my face improved a lot once I started rubbing in just a little bit of vaseline after I have a shower! In the shower I wash my face with a clean cloth and bar of soap, rinse off really well, and after I’m out I rub in some cocoa vaseline. Once I’ve got everything I gently wipe my face with my towel just to get any excess off of my skin, and I’m good to go. Also, owning a lot of pillowcases and bedsheets and actually swapping them often is a big help!
I’m still pissed about how much blame was heaped on me for my skin issues. “You eat too much chocolate,” “You eat too much greasy food,” “You aren’t washing your face right”.
Top ways to avoid pimples – (and I’ll say this and half of you will be like, yeah but they show up still, and I’ll bet those who say that don’t actually do these things)
Wash face regularly (I understand this is much easier for men than women, and also why women get pimples more than men)
In my 20s, I realized that dairy products were causing pimples for me. That was 30 years ago, so I don’t really remember what made me experiment with cutting out most milk from my diet. I still get ice cream once in a while, and still eat cheese, but if I have too much, guaranteed to get at least one painful red bump…
Storm into the party like my name is El Niño
I didn’t get acne for the first time until I was 31. I’d have rather had it when I was 15!
That’s because they expected the future to shower more than we do
🎵 *’cause I’m in too deep* 🎶
Aw I miss that band
She never said the acne would go away.
Well, I guess 22 is older than 15.
I’m more into street punk than pop punk but man Sum 41 had some bangers
Prinkles
You’re in middle-school, learning is the most important thing, you can party when you go to high-school.

Wrinkles pimples and backpain
Dealing with a thigh zit that exploded in my sleep and has now been enflamed for 4 days making it so I have to cowboy mosey around.
Wooo being an adult.
One of the biggest disappointments of being an adult is still getting zits
Traded the acne for hair loss 🙁
Would you say you’re… still waiting?

Bacne, bacne everywhere. I’m 36 and going grey, but still my back is like braille
Fresh pillowcase every night, it’s the single best thing you can do to relieve acne.
I’m still pissed about how much blame was heaped on me for my skin issues. “You eat too much chocolate,” “You eat too much greasy food,” “You aren’t washing your face right”.
Yeah. That wasn’t it.

Don’t touch your face (also easier for men)
Change your pillowcase daily
Eat less sugar
You’re just not old enough yet.
Why not both?
You’re just not older enough.
But which do you worry about more?
33 and I’m dealing with both
I’m 60 and still get zits. On the upside, my oily skin has prevented many wrinkles.
I’ve almost never had to deal with pimples/breakouts. Dunno why either, I’m 40 now and it’s extremely rare for me to have a single pimple pop up.
Seriously wtf, I’m waaay too old for this
Never trust a person who wears their cross on the outside of their clothes
Cut on sugar and heavily processed foods and they will disappear
Sum 41 is such a good band. Especially their new shit, they’ve aged like fine wine.
Can confirm. 40M and every day or two I have to do acne maintenance before going to bed (popping or lancing new pimples that show up).
Just yesterday I bought my tickets to see Sum 41 this summer. So excited!
I’m 31 and have 10× the acne issues I did when I was a teen. It’s bullshit.
