That $450K is for the property. The house itself, appraised as “improvements” on the property taxes is probably more in the neighborhood of $100K.
That house looks adorable! Once saw one likewise but as a dollhouse…. And am still pondering if I’ll try and build it (the doll house, hahaha. Not the real life size one)
They aren’t “so called”. They were literally houses you could buy from the Sears catalogue.
I have a friend that lives in one, actually.
My grandparents had one too. Unfortunately, the house is trapped in a tiny dead town so is in terrible shape…
The Sears price was for the materials ….you still had to pay someone to build it.
