This sketch was written by Julio Torres & Jeremy Beiler. [Here’s](https://www.vulture.com/2017/12/snl-wells-for-boys-good-one-podcast.html) an article with them discussing the sketch from when it aired for anybody curious. Julio would go on to be one of the co-creators & actors for Los Espookys. Jeremy has since written for a lot of other stuff like I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, At Home with Amy Sedaris & Alternatino with Arturo Castro.
This and My Little Stepchildren are up there with my very favorite SNL sketches. It’s just so incredibly specific and yet it’s one of those things you kind of instinctively “get”.
Cecily Strong voiceovers are always gold too, always.
why is this front page with zero comments or apparent engagement lol?

Fun fact: this sketch is how Emma Stone and her husband met
Another fun fact: the kid here went on to play Adam Driver and ScarJo’s son in Marriage Story

I love that you can always tell a Julio Torres sketch.
I’m trying to remember the last time I laughed at an SNL skit…… and failing
“Do you want to go watch Y Tu Mama Tambien” is such a hilariously specific joke
“Not everything is for you!” Fave line.
Can’t believe that child wasn’t dealing with his parents divorce as well
Bobby Moynihan is grilling a fully-wrapped (and cut open) burrito in this sketch.
