I fell asleep during the second McGroober skit.
I was trying to hold out for Weekend Update.
I woke up and ~~Che~~ some dude was spitting some gibberish about the Olympics I could not even understand, not even with the pictures that went with it. It’s like he was going on & on in this important sounding fake language that they just made up. IDK. I said fuck it and went back to sleep.
SNL used to be funny. Now they speak this whole new language I do not even understand.

Sure. You should have seen how some of the stuff from this era got dragged at the time, especially some of the earlier Lonely Island stuff. I remember because I was a middle school who grew up on SNL Best Of’s since I could walk and I loved that this was “my era” and I constantly had to hear about how the show was shit since Ferrell left and really went down hill once Sandler and Farley left

The only reason this hasn’t been a tiktok challenge is because the lonely island thought this would be a funny joke concept first.
Classic stuff. Love this era of SNL. I can still remember when Lazy Sunday broke YouTube, one of the first viral videos ever.
