Shudder is adding new movies in 2023 including Slumber Party Massacre, BOG, and MAGIC (1978) – easily Anthony Hopkin’s scariest role.

That looks amazingly awful.
This is a great one.
I loved Magic when I was a kid, probably one of the first horror movies I saw alongside of Poltergeist and probably my first Anthony Hopkins movie too. I’ll watch it to see how it holds up for nostalgia’s sake.
I’m pretty sure ‘magic’ and ‘slumber party massacre’ are on tubi right now
I haven’t heard of it, I’m gonna have to check it out.
Man, Magic scared me big time as a kid. Dolls like that creep me out to this day.
Don’t forget Silence of the lambs.
His scariest role? You sure?
SLumber part massacre and Zombie have been on SHudder i think since literally DAY 1 lol
but yeah Tubi is awesome slumber party massacre 1 an 2 , Galaxy of Terror, Forbidden World, Piranha 78,
Between Shudder and Tubi you got it made when it comes to movies
This reminds me of that one episode of American Dad where Roger played as the doll for Steve to use in him a talent show.
And after looking up the episode, one of the producers cited this movie as inspiration for the episode!

Don’t sleep on Slumber Party Massacre, it’s kind of a hoot.
If you don’t know, the years from 1980 to 1983 were such a relentless glut of Slasher Films that they started to get weird and self-referential pretty fast. Like, imagine if Deadpool came out just a couple of years after X-Men.
That’s what Slumber Party Massacre was *supposed* to be, a straight up parody, but the producers balked and ordered most of the jokes removed. Most of the *obvious* jokes, anyway. You can still plainly tell that it’s satire. The villain is a joke, the plot barely exists, and the tone is ridiculous. Taking out the overt comedy just made it funny in a more subtle way.
“Magic” was the first horror movie I ever saw as a child. I felt like I didn’t sleep for days.
Bog? Are we dealing with some sort of a Dracula?
