The time of Chipotle is over, the time of Hot Head Burrito has begun
Wouldn’t got the lettuce if I knew it wouldn’t fit
Oh and of course they lowered their prices due to the size reduction.
Did you order on the app or go inside? Because if you order on the app they make the food smaller. They also use a different set of food to make it. The whole thing is just weird to me.
They’re pretty inconsistent with portion control for an assembly line, I think due to their standard protein size being really poor for the cost, but they’re usually super generous more often than not, grab a bowl w wraps on the side nx time
you ever see that dude that weighed every burrito bowl for years. tracked it all in graphs. I think it may be in r/dataisbeautiful
I will never order chipotle online because of this. Every damn time it’s a mini burrito. Burrito in store massive.
Been this way for a few years now.
I just went there for the first time in 7 years and the burrito was fucking massive
Went to a few different Chipotles across a major city in Canada and the burritos were always falling apart. I asked the staff and they told me Chipotle shrunk the size of the tortilla. So it makes sense if they also shrunk the size of the scoops later.
I emailed corporate about it to no avail other than a 2 for 1 coupon.
Meanwhile, $CMG price is at an all time high
What is that? A tater tot?
Get a burrito bowl -> ask for a tortilla on the side
I think it’s beyond inflation and just “we want to charge you more and give you less. Also tip our staff because we don’t want to pay them either”
Their CEO was bragging about record profits too. I don’t eat there any more. People are getting double shafted these days by both the corporations they work for and the corporations they buy from. I’m not here for it.
ETA: the only way to fight shrinkflation is to cut CEO pay. There’s literally gonna be nowhere else for the money to come from.
Keep in mind this is at least $14. Insane disappointment here
Recently workers at all the burrito places I go to (chipotle, qdoba, other local ones) have been just grabbing pico and corn salsa with their (gloved) hands and throwing it into the burrito. Is this happening elsewhere? Seems insane to me
Ok, so I’m gonna show my age here and I don’t care. What the hell happened to them? I used to love going there around ’99-’00 and it was the shit. The burrito could last two meals if you’re not a big eater…AND THEY KNEW HOW TO WRAP THEM!
I think I’ve gone maybe once a year for the past five years, and each time I’m more disappointed. It’s like Panera Bread. It had it’s heyday around the turn of the century, and it’s been downhill since.
Went the other day and got a bowl. Did double carne asada ($6 upcharge), and there were only 5 pieces of steak in the entire bowl. Got a side of queso, which I think is just under $3, and the cup was only about 1/4 full. Let’s just say it would barely be enough for 3-5 chips. I’m officially off the chipotle.
^Burrito
Never order online, they will always short you.
Chipotle been pulling this shit for years. I tolerated it until I paid $14 for a half bowl the other day. Not again. You basically have to say “double” protein and rice to get a regular now
It’s a hand made burrito. They are different depending on nearly every different person who makes one.
$19 for a tiny ass burrito that is fatter than it is long is criminal. Not to mention when they gave everyone diarrhea for several years…
Eating less would help most people honestly
i really get the feeling this is a “per-each-employee issue”, not shrinkflation. new guy, distracted guy, tired guy, pissed off guy; any of these guys could have made you a small burrito.
f**q around and find out, Chipotle!
Ask Quiznos how this ends!!
Was this an online order? I know you can finesse better than this in person with ease.
I mean… I’m just gonna assume with no particular evidence that their smallest burrito year is still more than the regular person should be eating
Was it in the pool?
Pay more, get less. That’s everyone’s motto these days. I hardly ever go out to eat anymore.
I feel blessed to have local Mexican take out that is better than shitpotle in every way.
I remember going to Chipotle to order a quesadilla and they told me I couldn’t order it at the counter it was an online option only. I then had to sit at the table in the restaurant, order my quesadilla on my phone, and watch them make it for me and proceed to pick it up at the pickup orders cubby. It was the weirdest in dining experience I’ve ever had.
Shrinkflation, skimpflation, and most importantly greedflation
And it still cost 23 bucks witha small drink cup.
I used to drive 4 hours to pick up Chipotle, I was a fanatic.
What the fuck happened? New CEO? New CFO? How did they fuck up the easiest thing in the world, Qdoba is running laps around them now.
Stop eating at chipotle people, there workers seem to hate every single customer that come in and don’t want any of your business and when you do come in your met with an attitude and terribly made food.
Boggles my mind a good deal of people, not just and handful, thinks this shit is Biden’s fault. We are all paying more for less. Working harder for less.
Rich people did VERY well during the pandemic. This is an irrefutable fact. They continue to fleece us globally. Not just here. The ones at fault are all of them that let it continue to happen. Tax the shit out of these people.
No wonder Chipotle stock is $2200 they charge the price of a sit down meal for 50 cents worth of ingredients
