Just wanted to ask you guys. I personally prefer deep triggers on my controllers. However I also love motion controls and the button layout on the regular degular controller. What are you guys experiences with the two and do you have any recommendations? Thank you! Trying to get right for tears of the kingdom.

I have the gamecube alike controller for Switch, is pretty good, but usually my 8bitdo does everything great and works for other platforms too.
My bet goes for 8bitdo
I have 2 and love both my 8bitdo pro2. Great feature set and colorways. My original plan was to sell one but I was like nahh these are fantastic.
The 8bd ultimate felt like a let down in features, the compatibility decisions were a bit odd imo. I’ve been looking at the Gulikit KingKong 2. Haven’t tried either in hand yet though
A NSPro is lowest tier for me but the ToTk skin almost sold me
Pro controller is way higher quality
Id go with pro controller. more features and better ergonomics.
Honestly, get both if you can
Go to Target, get the Zen Pro… It’s the Gulikit Kong Kong Pro 2 for a cheaper price. All firmware is through Gulikit as well. It can be used across any console, PC, or handheld device.
The pro controller is one of the best controllers ever. Nintendo really killed it.
pro controller is better for what ur looking to play with it if it was gonna be for the switch online emulators i would have leaned a bit more toward 8bitdo but not that much tbh
I’d say pro if you’re going to use it exclusively with Switch. If you plan to use it with anything else, go 8bitdo.
I use an adapter for an Xbox controller, cus I’m a heathen
I use the Brook adapter so I can use my Elite 2 on the Switch. The 8bitdo won’t work on XBox controllers.
I dislike the Nintendo Pro controller. It’s cheap garbage and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
I have a [NYXI Wizard Wireless Joy-pad for Switch/Switch OLED](https://nyxigaming.com/products/nyxi-wizard-wirleless-joy-pad-for-switch-switch-oled) amongst others; is great and and additional buttons and is programmable
8bitdo adapter? Can’t you just use mission control and use ps4/5 or xbox controller?

If you’re going to use the amiibo for the items/gears, then PRO all of the way. 8bitdo doesn’t support amiibo
Pro Controller. They’re just better all around.
I use a controller that has every amiibo programmed into it
pro con boi for life
Get a gulikit controller. More durable and if a piece messes up/worn out, easily replaceable without having to buy a completely new controller, also, no stick drift. Amiibo compatible, motion controls, works for all types of consoles.
D pad is lack luster on the official Nintendo Switch Pro controller. But other than that, its a solid controller.
One thing I noticed about my 8BitDo adapter when using an Xbox One controller on Switch is the analog sticks are way too sensitive. But it still works.
I am eyeing that 8BitDo Switch controller though. May pick that up, especially after getting some good feedback on it from another post.
Adapter + Dual Sense works like native with gyro and wibrations.
