Lol, women driving. I am sure none of the car were wrecked.
In the 80’s I think every county fair had a demolition derby as the big finale in the grandstand
Your mom was badass.
Malfunction Junction during the 82 Worlds Fair
I think I saw Pinky Tuscadero from happy days.
This is sick man
Great stuff.
Oh man, why the two door Pontiac ?
Bærb!!
Went to a dirt track race and demolition derby when I was about 15 or 16. Super fun to watch and if you’ve ever wanted to leave a place totally coated in dirt and mud it’s the way to go.
I used to do demos! They’re super fun, but very time and money consuming. It used to cost me roughly $500 a week to compete. Believe it or not, if you’re good, you get sponsors. We’d just spray paint their names on the sides of the car. Is spend at least 4, 8 hr nights a week building the junker I bought for these. Goddamn I miss being a teenager sometimes
Makes me want to get Wreckfest turned on and twist some metal! (Great game for online Demo Derby fun!)
Your moms rocking a 67 olds vista cruiser wagon, badass
This is why all the old cars are so valuable today.
This sub need more like this and less celebrity photos.
Any idea what city this is in?
I don’t expect anyone to get this, but it reminds me of Thunder Road in Barre, VT in the 80s. Good times.
Times were so much better where differences were settled with a demolition derby to Oingo Boingo tunes…
Are there any rules? Like speed limit or something.
