This is a pretty good sketch. Makes you realize how much that show is a formula. I mean, all these “reality” shows are. Find a formula that creates a sense of tension with the edits and you have a hit.
I thought it was a funny and clever sketch, but at the same time it annoyed me.
Mainly because I had relationships as a teenager through my mid 20’s where I would have to beg, plead, make deals, etc. with the girls I dated at that time to do something with my friends that she didn’t want me to do.
Now that I’m in my mid 30’s, I would probably just end a relationship over this kind of thing.
Obviously, I’m talking about somewhat newer relationships, with no exigent circumstances.
But at my age now, even if my girlfriend of a year tried to tell me I was not “allowed” to go on a trip with friends, simply for the fact she doesn’t want me to….I’m still going. If that ends the relationship, it wasn’t one worth keeping.
Totally different story if we’re talking about me wanting to take off for a weekend when there’s a *legitimate* reason it’s wrong/selfish.
For the people who don’t get this video, this is explicitly satirizing these kinds of toxic relationships. It’s not saying they’re good at all, just that some people in them have to go through this kind of song and dance every time they want to go out somewhere.
Her pretending to eat the shortbread(?) then cutting to the completely uneaten shortbread is peak reality tv. America isn’t allowed to know that women eat
I mean it’s funny, but, as a man, I hate the basic premise; this sort of thing normalizes that people have to ask their partner for ‘permission’ to go somewhere. That’s abusive, controlling behavior, and I wouldn’t want to be with someone who thought they had to ask me every time they wanted to do something fun.
“Holding a white claw and nodding your head” lol.
The bachelorette party put them on even ground and he still gave in to a ridiculous offer.
That was really well edited and written. True to Shark Tank in every style.

Also, that is the skinniest tie I’ve ever seen.
Damn, he gets a weekend with the boys *and* some sweet lovin’ that night? He certainly came out ahead.
This is a joke of course, but i know guys that are this pussy whipped, they’re not even themselves since they got a girlfriend.
Brilliant
Liked this a lot. It felt like a sketch I’d see on SNL.
“I like you”
“I should hope so, I’m your boyfriend”
This one’s even better

Yeah the style was executed flawlessly.
Haha the deal making is on point. Thanksgiving in perpetuity 😂
Not funny or clever at all 1 out of 5.

Ugghhh Too Normie
Love it when the girls Miami bachelorette got raised.
Why is a man grovelling to a woman for “permission” to have fun in any way healthy or funny?

Cringe.

Pegging. The thing he liked was pegging.
The announcer cutting in about Tyler being a fuckboi LMAO
It wasn’t funny until the “2 years ago” line then I suddenly lost it.
Kinda sad that many man have to go through this, females limiting their freedom
They need to write for SNL. They’d surely save this POS show.
Where’s his wife’s boyfriend or does he not trade stonks?
Name a hotter girl than her. Jesus Christ
there’s a continuity error with the bread/cake whatever that is not being in a shot
You should never ask permission from a woman to do something as a man. If she disagrees with you, leave her ass!
Who created this?
I know this is supposed to be satire, but this is one of the most toxic relationship things I’ve ever seen. I mean big yikes folks.
I don’t mean to come in here with an overreaction, but this was one of the best executed parodies I’ve seen on the internet!
lol it’s funny because intimate relationships are inherently transactional.

Christ people. Nobody’s going to take 27 year old Michael Keaton for $200?
This had no right to be as funny as it was.
What is Shark Tank?
