This looks incredible, and I’m so happy that all of the actors from the movie are back to voice their characters. Can’t fucking wait!
I’m in lesbian with this.
Loved the movie, but a lot of the depth of the characters is lost from the short run time. That, coupled with the graphic novels actually being done this time (Edgar Wright had to rely on outlines from Bryan Lee O’Malley for the movie), I’m really excited to see a more fully realized adaptation!
Animated by Science SARU (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken, Devilman Crybaby) and it’s 8 episodes.
The whole movie cast is back:
* Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim
* Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Ramona Flowers
* Satya Bhabha as Matthew Patel
* Kieran Culkin as Wallace Wells
* Chris Evans as Lucas Lee
* Anna Kendrick as Stacey Pilgrim
* Brie Larson as Envy Adams
* Alison Pill as Kim Pine
* Aubrey Plaza as Julie Powers
* Brandon Routh as Todd Ingram
* Jason Schwartzman as Gideon Graves
* Johnny Simmons as Young Neil
* Mark Webber as Stephen Stills
* Mae Whitman as Roxie Richter
* Ellen Wong as Knives Chau
I am so excited to binge this 8-episodes series. [According to Entertainment Weekly, it’ll have 8 episodes

> The eight-episode series, titled Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 17, 2023.
I cannot FUCKING WAIT for this
Scott Pilgrim is one of my seminal teenagerhood movies and is perfect in every way, and I love the comics and music associated with it.
I forgot that a new show would likely mean new music. This looks and sounds great.
I by no means had low expectations, but this blew them away. It looks clean and perfectly stylized for the tone. I love the movie but the show looks like it could give it a run for it’s money.
Must watch.
The movie might be most enjoyed movie of all time and the fucking cast is back!
I’m so down.
One of my all-time favorite movies. I can’t even explain how excited I am for this.
Looks like the comic brought to life in animation! Fingers crossed we get the story adapted with a longer time frame than the movie.
The movie has the story take place over a month. The comics took place over a year.
All I care about is that Scott and Todd have a fight in a junk shop that everyone from Toronto seems to know intimately and no one outside of Toronto has ever heard of.
I must have watched the movie a thousand times in the years after its release and had a fondness for the source material, though I haven’t come back to it in at least a decade. That said, while I’m thrilled that the entire cast from the movie is coming back for this, I hope that this adds some new elements or angles to the story and isn’t just a 1:1 adaptation of the graphic novel. It would be such a wasted opportunity to do not do something new/extra with the resources available.
Scott Pilgrim! He-hey! Buddy, welcome to Netflix. Somebody, get this man a drink. A Coke Zero, right?
My first thought was “didn’t we already have a perfect adaptation of this series in the form of the movie” but given that this is being made by all the same people I guess I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that it’s worth doing.
In my wildest dreams, I somehow have this version entirely handled by Worthikids, who animates and scores absolutely everything. The cast remains the same.
But this looks awesome too and I cannot wait.
This exceeded my expectations. It looked like they added a few scenes that were left out of the live action movie (like Knives and Ramona fighting each other in the department store). I’m still amazed that all of the original actors from the movie reprised their roles too.
Every time I’m ready to cancel Netflix, they pull me back in!

I hope we get so much more Toronto in this. I’m stoked.
Damn, Science SARU is probably the best possible studio to do this style. I’m not even a massive Scott Pilgrim fan, but every aspect of this production seems so perfect that it makes me very excited.
Holy shiet, some of the actors are big stars nowadays and they still got them to comeback
Finally, the arc I’ve been waiting my whole life for: Spot Pilgrim fighting a robot at a Halloween party
Netflix animated, I’ll give it a shot.
YOUR BF’S ABOUT TO GET F’D IN THE B!
I simply hope it follows the comic and not just an animated remake of the movie.
I literally started crying tears of joy. This is something I’ve been waiting for for the past decade and some change. Scott Pilgrim is very close to my heart and is perhaps one of my favorite stories ever told.
