This is how you parody the Scooby-Doo series. The characters are still fitting the basic archetypes established from their IP but have made them darker and more adult. The new Velma show (while only 2 episodes deep) feels like a shallow swing and a miss attempt that tries adult branded humor but executes both humor and character archetypes within that humorized structure wrong.
As someone put on the Youtube comments going to paste this:
It’s on every other video of these guys so I’m obligated to put it here.
Ted: Ted Bundy the “charismatic” serial killer.
Patty: Patty Hearst the brainwashed kidnapped millionaire heiress turned terrorist
Val: Valerie Solanus a super-militant feminist who gut-shot Andy Warhol
Sonny: The Son of Sam (David Berkowitz) who, at his trial, told the court that his neighbor’s dog talked to him and told him to kill. He later retracted that statement.
Man this is a great episode.
Still better than the new Series based off the old Scooby Doo

1 minute and 24 seconds of “the gang” in venture bros is better than the entire season of mindy’s failed attempt. What a time to be alive
“Not here to talk to zem!” is an all time fave
Where can I get me some of those groovy snacks?
Well, going to watch Venture Bros for the rest of the day. Thanks!
The little cartoon sound effects at the end slayed me
Holy shiz I’m like totally traumatized man
