I’ve seen multiple people use a marker to change the year or month on their temp tags. Last week I saw a car with 2020 temp plates. Apparently the cops aren’t pulling people over for this shit anymore.
My biggest worry when I see super expired tags is I doubt those mofos have insurance.
This definitely isn’t in Florida. I see cars with handwritten “plates” or no plates daily. The cops here wouldn’t even react unless you’re driving 100mph and firing multiple guns into the air.
In Michigan, I don’t think they even pull you over if you don’t have plates. Originally it was because of Covid backlogs, but now people just don’t seem to care. Neither do the cops.
I’ve also seen a few “sovereign citizen” plates around here too.
I walked out of the store today and saw a guy in the parking lot with a temp tag that went out of date in July. If we could just get the vehicles that don’t have plates and insurance off the road we could drop probably 15% of the vehicles on the road at least in my area. Like to know why the hell I have to pay for my tags and insurance and these people just drive around forever ignoring it

Our plates use sticker tabs for each new year. It took them nine years before they caught me forging my sticker.
This happened in the city I live in…..the best part about it is that she drew the plate with an expired tag!
