Same make, model, and colour, 30 years apart.

Give me the little one again.
Pickup trucks and their prices have gotten ridiculous.
These are NOT the same model truck. Also, the capabilities aren’t even close.
The newer one looks like a 2500, not a 1500, no? The big extended mirrors gives it away to me. I’ve got a newer 1500 and it doesnt have big ass mirrors like that.
[It’s EPA’s fault we can’t have small trucks anymore.](https://youtu.be/azI3nqrHEXM?feature=shared)
90s trucks are so much better.. hands down
I drive one for work and absolutely hate it. 3 point turns become 9 point turns lol. Have an extended bed and extended cab while pulling trailers it’s a pain because the turn radius already sucks. I’m 6 feet higher than most people while driving and still get blinded by bright ass headlights.
I do not like the huge pickups. I want some power and utility, I have no problem with a little comfort and tech, but they look ridiculously big. Like a cartoon.
[Canyonero](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PI_Jl5WFQkA)!
Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty-five..
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Well, it goes real slow with the hammer down,
It’s the country-fried truck endorsed by a clown!
Canyonero! (Yah!) Canyonero!
[Krusty:] Hey Hey
The Federal Highway commission has ruled the
Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving.
Canyonero!
12 yards long, 2 lanes wide,
65 tons of American Pride!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Top of the line in utility sports,
Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
Canyonero! Canyonero! (Yah!)
She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
She’s a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!
Canyonero!-oh woah, Canyonero! (Yah!)
Drive Canyonero!
Woah Canyonero!
Woah!
I’m so sick of how large pickups have become. I actually use them for work and not as a genital replacement like so many people do. It’s frustrating how bulky they’ve become. It makes everything more difficult when it comes to working or even basic commuting.
They barely fit in parking spots now. Trying to drive one of these trucks around a narrow construction site is frustrating. It’s so much harder to see where the front bumper is and how close you are to another vehicle or obstacle.
Engine technology has advanced but that doesn’t justify the bulk of these newer trucks. They’re just bigger for the sake of being big.
A half-ton now is bigger than older 3/4 ton trucks, more in line with older 1 tons. It’s stupid.
Meanwhile “pedestrian fatalities in the U.S. have been climbing steadily, to their highest level in more than 40 years. The number of pedestrian deaths is growing faster than traffic fatalities overall, jumping more than 80% since 2009.”

Left has a bigger bed for work applications too
You can’t pick a 2door to a 2 door?
To top it off for me, the bed on the new improved trucks are shorter.
It’s a tragedy for the regular person.
Another industry heavily affected by selective breeding.
At some point you have to ask yourself, is that even the same car?
We need to bring back organic manufacturing to get real authentic products.
Gotta make it $80k somehow. $60k+ price difference
I miss small trucks
New trucks suck. WTF is a new ranger the size of an old f150 and twice the price. Bring back basic trucks. No everyone wants a $60k wildebeest
Pug breeding but for trucks
Like that meme said, these pics always look like when they show dog breeds a hundred years ago and now, and before they were like normal and functional and now they’re all fucked up and can’t do anything as good
Love my Ford Maverick. I can park it in just about any compact space in LA.
The big one is safer, more reliable, and gets better MPG.

I’ve scrolled too far to find this comment so I’ll say. I drive a 2015 GMC 3500 HD (that’s the dually) It’s my daily driver because I can own one vehicle and I have to often tow a 16k Pound BBQ trailer along with my beer tent. I get that I look like an ass at Safeway but what am I going to do? Buy a Prius with sixteen thousand pounds of towing capacity?! Not everyone with a big fuck off truck is compensating or some kind of wingnut!
And yet parking spaces have not increased commensurate with the truck bloat.
I grow more irritated daily at how those who drive these beasts are still trying to cram them in to spaces and leave 1/4 of their beast to create a traffic hazard/impediment to every other driver.
I saw a new Ford Ranger the other day. Thought it was an F150. Why the fuck can’t they just make nice, little trucks? I want a 2001 Ford Ranger, dammit!
As someone who drives a small sports car daily. This is my biggest fear.
These trucks are massive. My head is at the level of where pickup truck drivers butts are. And that’s assuming they’re not lifted.
Well actually, one model is a crew cab.
Ford Rangers is good example, another is Honda CRV’s. If this keeps up they will be the size of a Pilot in a few years.
huh – looks like the average american 30 years apart lol
why the fuck is reddit every day full of pickup trucks?????????
The same happens with cars, check out, for example, the Honda Accord: the difference in size between the early 80’s model and the current one is incredible, the Accord switched segments from “small” in the 80’s, “midsize“ in the 90’s to “big” in the 2010’s.
The reddit truck circlejerk is reaching its apex
No. They aren’t.
These trucks are getting so tall, and many of the drivers are simply not careful or confident enough to drive them. They’re extremely popular with the elderly in my area (and it’s pretty common to lose faculties with age).
My point is, over a certain size/height, one should be required to get a CDL to drive these ridiculous fuckers.
I get the point and all that, but this is a bit disingenuous.
The one on the right holds twice as many people, is significantly safer for occupants and other motorists, and gets better fuel economy and burns that fuel much cleaner than the one on the left.
This is before we get into other things like passenger comfort and expected length of life.
Thanks EPA
