Listened to a ton of Ros Sereysothea growing up in a Cambodian-american household.
Here’s the wikipedia article on Cambodia’s rock music scene.

It’s a really neat starting point for a fascinating Wikipedia rabbit-hole if anybody is interested in some history.
Khruangbin’s first album has a lot of these elements.
Great pick!! I came across them last year but never gave their other stuff much of a listen.
I was JUST rocking out to this with my husband last night! This whole album slaps
Face melted! Wow! Can’t wait to go check out more.
Chnang Jas Bai Chgn-ainj and Tngai Neas Kyom Yam Sra by Ros Serey Sothea are bangers
Holy shit, this is awesome.
Authentic rock music. What an era…
I heard Dengue Fevers version of this and didn’t know it was a cover! Really cool man
As somebody whose parents have survived the Pol Pot killing fields and had family that were killed during the Khmer Rouge…
THIS IS AWESOME!! 💕
We are Khmer.
I’m okay with Cambodian but none of my relatives say Cambodia. They say Srok Khmer.
Love this album!
Damn, Cambodian history is so tragic. Fuck the commies!
