Oh man was I a fan!!! Imported posters, kinda did my hair like rs had video boys don’t cry, all cd’s tried to draw wish artwork on my hand.. mostly just eyes on my hand, been listened to play for today usually once a day for like a week
EDIT: I just remembered a story from my college days.
We had to pick a song and write down the lyrics and then speak about what we thought the artist was trying to say.
I picked Just Like Heaven and turned in my work.
A few days later when going over what everyone had handed in, the professor, who was much, much older than we were, and highly respected in his field, said that if Smith didn’t look the way he did he’d probably be regarded as one of the greatest poets of our day. He said he’s delved into his lyrics many times and was just blown away by the things he writes. He said other colleagues felt the same way. This was at the University of Utah too, so not just the opinion from a community college professor. (No disrespect to CC professors, just trying to explain this dude was high up in his field.)
Anyway, I thought that was a very cool thing to hear about someone in one of my all time favorite bands.
Robert Smith came into the service station where I worked once. I initially assumed it was just another goth wannabe lookalike until he came to pay with a Barclaycard Platinum clearly embossed with MR R SMITH. My girlfriend, a huge Cure fan, was insanely jealous.
I just wanna take this opportunity to say that every time I listen to A Forest and Robert says “The girl was never there It’s always the same I’m running towards nothing
Again and again” it makes me laugh cause like, damn dude, this has happened to you multiple times? You gotta stop following disembodied voices, man!!
This was before he fought Mega Streisand.
Friday I’m in Bruges.
I like how someone with an incredibly generic name became such a unique musician and performer.
He looks so ordinary with no makeup.

Inspiration for the Sandman’s look I always think.
“Tell me, tell me, tell me how you do that trick…”

Sorry… wrong number.
I love everything about this photo.
If only I’d thought of the right words…
Portland show was peak. He sounds like a 20 year old and the band was tip top.
Unexpectedly wholesome: he has been married to his high school sweetheart since 1988.
One word: Sonja
Just saw them last night in Seattle, it was awesome!

Goth king 👑 I can’t wait to finally see them this month!!!
I hope he put up a good fight!
What’s interesting is this was originally a color photo. It’s just Smith making everything gray around him.
So this is who the tall goth in South Park is based on
Such a handsome man. I’ve been to their concert once and it was magical.
Cool pic. I was just learning Love Song yesterday and the chords are Am, G, F or Fmaj7, Em, chorus F, G, Am, C.
See the Cure on tuesday!
An absolute legend.

No matter the era, Robert Smith always rocks the look.
That’s how my hair looks when I wake up in the morning every day
Photographer – “Smile Robert!”
Robert – “I am smiling.”
I thought he was British?
Seeing The Cure tonight!
It’s Friday. I’m in love! ❤️
I was the only Mexican guy in a north Texas suburb to look like this
Hot hot hot
