I remember when “Physical” came out. I didn’t know what that meant yet, but I knew that I wanted to do something with her. Hug? Kiss? I don’t know. I just knew that she was enthralling. That part never changed for me.
Heartbreaking news about Olivia Newton-John. A true icon who defined a generation and gave us THE most iconic movie musical performance of all time. Rip
I would say I saw this movie in the theater in 1980 but that would be a lie. I was there but was having my first make-out session with my girlfriend throughout the whole thing. I also left the theater with my first case of blue balls.
This is the first movie I ever saw in a theatre..4 years old.
I forgot about it until this fancy thing called YouTube became a thing. I stumbled on the music video and it was so strangely familiar. With the final melody and the kaleidoscope scene at the very end it all rushed back. I remember it was just my mom and me.. It was a powerful nostalgic feeling. I don’t know greese or any other ONJ stuff, but that one ancient memory makes me truly sad for her passing.

I tried to watch this movie once as a funny, hate-watch sort of thing.
Couldn’t make it all the way through. It’s that bad.
The soundtrack is great, though, and this song in particular is very underrated.
Then I came to America, saw Xanadu, and that’s all I wanted to do: rollerskate.
I don’t know why people are slacklining or hanging from a rope by their teeth, but this would be a great Super Bowl halftime show.
The hell… that chick at the end is hanging from a big strap by her damned neck.

Holy shit, the guy from breakin is in the background! (white gloved dancers , 0:54 and I assume throughout)

Too bad they couldn’t get Jeff Lynne to do the soundtrack for “The Apple” – now that would have been something to see.
I was in lust with Olivia as a youth (I’m old) Hot and an Aussie!
