Say what you want about stadia but it was the best game purchase I ever made. I played Cyberpunk and Red Dead Redemption 2 for free and got a free chrome cast. I would absolutely sign up for googles next failed gaming project if they’re just going to give me my money back in two years again.
i was part of the beta with AC Odyssey, and i ran through cyberpunk at launch. besides the obligatory bugs in the beta, stadia was a pretty fantastic experience, especially with cyberpunk. i never had any issues with bugs or slowdowns that people would often complain about. it just ran great and looked great.
i don’t really care about the saves for the few games i beat on it, and they refunded us for everything, so i have no ill will. and i ended up turning the $60 i spent on cyberpunk into like 8 pre-owned console games (including cyberpunk). all in all a fun experience.
it always felt more like a proof of concept rather than an actual business. but the tech was legit.
I will definitely miss it, I had awesome times play resident evil 8 in line at Universal Studios with no issues. Ran so damn smooth but I have since got a steamdeck and a actual gaming laptop so I’m set
Funny story. When stadia was new/about to launch, my neighbor told me he was working on a game for it, all boasting about the ton of cash he’d make and how stadia was the future. I told him I’d be surprised if he’d ever be able yo pay his rent with that game.
He never was able to pay his rent using his stadia money.
Nice deal. I got the pack with Chromecast Ultra + Stadia Controller in 2021. Got a refund due to services ending and now the Controller will be bluetooth unlocked !
I knew it was going to flop since the first commercial I watched. Surprised it lasted this long.
Not a single thing of value will be lost that day
That’s what happens when a glorified ads company goes into gaming (and almost everything else apart from ads and sucking users’ data)
how do u kill a zombie ?
It hadn’t already?
Oh no, anyway
First thing I hear about it since it launched lmfao
Google product… you know unless it makes all the money in the world in the first 5 minutes of launch… it’ll be killed 5 minutes later.
r/therewasanattempt
I…kinda thought it was already gone when I stopped seeing people talk about the Red Dead guy…
Always thought Google was the worst company to take a crack at this sort of thing right from the get go given their history/reputation.
Good news, if anyone has a Stadia controller, later this week they’re going to open its Bluetooth capabilities
If it never lived, can you really say it’s dying?
Got all my games refunded, funny thing is that it ended up being the best deal ever
Stadia was actually a great service that was unfortunately handled so poorly. I finished a handful of excellent games from the (very limited) library.
Playing Cyberpunk on Stadia was honestly an excellent experience. It worked perfectly for me while I waited for availability for the Series S.

Wonder if they will bury it next to the Ouya or Steam machines
☹️
Fun while it lasted…

R.I.P though. Had good memories of playing cyberpunk and doom
>Stadia dies in 3 days!
I’d argue that it was dead on arrival and simply gets buried now.
It was dead when it was announced.
Stadia could have been great. Wish they would open source it
It was good while it lasted.

I thought it was already dead. You learn something new everyday

Did that guy with ungodly amount of rdr2 hours ever get his account transfered?
I only bought one because of the chrome cast ultra. Then I got a refund. So I’m happy.
Yo anyone remember the KFConsole?
It’s been dead to me this whole time.

wonder if rockstar ever helped out that dude in RDR2 online with like 5000 hours logged lol
Once upon a time I backed OUYA.
