I’ll wait for the porn parody, “Rebel Poon”
I ain’t much of a fan of Snyder, but at the very least his movies tend to have a unique if not great shot composition. This one just looks.. flat? Almost b-movie like.
Wonder if it has to do with budget or if it’s an intentional choice.
This is Spaceaaaaa
Rebel v. Moon: Dawn of Fire Child – Part One (The Snyder Cut)
It’s gonna be fun watching this and mentally switching out all factions, bad guys, etc. for their Star Wars counterparts to see what could have been had this been given the green light at Lucasfilm.
I’m excited for this. I’m flying into London to catch it in the cinema and I couldn’t be more hyped!
Looks better than Army Of The Dead. Although that’s not exactly a high bar.
Stah Wurz
Honestly doesn’t look terrible.
I think it does not look consistent.
There is this serious tone but also jokey characters.
There is the SciFi aspect but it also looks like a historical rooted movie at times.
Some pictures look like they were pulled from 300, some look like he stole them from Star Wars/Trek. (Yes, ik what it was supposed to be beforehand)
It’s a “wait and see” thing for me.
I am also curious if Snyder will stay on Netflix forever now and leave theatrical movies behind.
Looks like a typical Snyder flick.
Focus on CGI and spectacle, plenty of slowmo, with an air of pretension that it’s somehow more than that while definitely not being more than that.
This looks so wild that it feels like those fake trailers people made for Star Wars or a big IP where they’d use footage from other movies. Some shots look like it’s from a Star Trek movie, the Anthony Hopkins dialog at the end could have been taken directly out Transformers 5. Tonally it feels pretty weird and definitely feels like there’s a lot packed into just this one film. Which is funny considering it’s two parts.
Oh damn, the two Daario Naharis’s are gonna face off against each other to determine which one is the true Daario. There can only be One.
I’m certain r/movies will watch this entire movie, and pay at least enough attention to not get basic things incorrect while complaining.
so weird seeing a regular shirt and tie on that one guy
Eh, as cynical as I can be about Zack Snyder movies, I’ll lean towards optimism with this.
I will be surprised if this gets over 20% on RT lol
Now I know why Alec Guinness thought star wars was just silly. There’s not much hinted at in this trailer beyond your generic revenge-against-imperials/scrappy rebels plot that star wars has already done to death.
The Star Wars we have at home
*Zack Snyder presents a Zack Snyder film written by Zack Snyder with cinematography, catering and sound design by… Zack Snyder.*
Hmm. Looks better than I thought it would, and some clips ***do*** fill me with a sense of “HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME” I haven’t gotten since *Man of Steel.* *Buuuuuuuuuuuuut* the taste of *Army of the Dead* hasn’t washed out of my mouth yet, and I’m not a fan of the guy *still* being unable to tell all his story in one go.
We’ll see, I guess. I mooch of my parents’ Netflix account, so it’s not like I’ll have to pay $20 to see it.
I’m really pumped for this movie. Regardless of the quality, the production design is incredible. Corey Stoll said that they built a whole village and a ton of crazy sets
Also Jena Malone as the spider and Anthony Hopkins as the droid are both really cool
OH lord, even the trailer has slow motion in it. Someone take away Zack’s slow motion machine, for the love of gawd!
Weird that there’s so much going on, and yet at the same time it feels kind of bland and generic?
This cast is the whose who of the B list.
😬 Who the fuck is the director of photography? That easily looks like the most not cinematic and just above average expensive TV show filming I’ve ever seen from a Snyder movie. Very underwhelming trailer.
It is a wonder to me that Zack Snyder (and Gareth Edwards) can make a movie and the VFX looks this good and the budget is only around $80m ($160m total for 1 movie that was split into two). Yet Marvel can spend $300m on a movie and the special effects look worse than a CW superhero show.
This actually looks great. Screw the haters, I’m pumped.
This looks like a total mess to me. Every scifi movie and video game in the last couple of decades chewed into one ball of an all too familiar story.
I find Snyder immensly over rated
Wow, this is going to be trash.
Impressive cast and cool song choice, but other than that it looks pretty generic.
