Childhood héros of mine. Theyre still best friends in real life. Mantooth in particular remains an active speaker for paramedics and firefighters.
As a child, I learned to respect Native Americans via Mantooth. Before him, it was mostly white guys in heavy makeup and feathers on TV.

My dad did a screen test for this show. Didn’t make it on, but I loved watching this as a kid.
These guys are the reason I’m a firefighter paramedic today.
Still a great show. Even when they had an absurd gimick episode, it was more reasonable than the unbelievable crap shows produced today.
Grew up watching them, and became an EMT later.
