Powerful
The reflection of the fear on that cop’s face…
“Are we the baddies?” moment
This is the way
B.J. Novak’s thinking: “I don’t know how, but they found me.”
[Here](https://i.imgur.com/W6dCrWl.jpg?desktop=1) is a higher quality version of this image. [Here](https://www.apimages.com/metadata/Index/Ukraine-Protest/cbe9009f4fd4421b819d1626269c8fd0/6/0) is the source. Per there:
> A pro-European demonstrator holds a mirror which reflects a group of riot police officers standing guard in Kiev, Ukraine, Monday, Dec. 30, 2013. Opposition activists protested in the capital maintaining more than a month of rallies opposing the government’s decision to shelve a key deal with the European Union. That’s really powerful
Who took the photo?
Oh no, they’re surrounded!
That is a whole lot of mirrors!
Vampires hate this one trick
If anybody hasn’t watched it, check out Winter On Fire. It’s about this revolution and it’s got some insane footage. The protesters basically made a make shift fortress in the middle of the capital city and defended it against snipers firing live ammo while fighting back with home made weapons.
This and silently turning your backs on them sends a very powerful message.
I can see them making this illegal, for “safety reasons” when it’s really due to the fact it’s quite psychology effective.
Maybe she’s looking for vampire cops
This is brilliant
Really smart.
You might have noticed that a lot of bars have mirrors behind the bar. This is bevause it’s proven that patrons behalve better if they literally have look at themselves. We don’t like seeing ourselves do bad shit.
Good strategy. If the cop breaks the mirror then it’s seven years bad luck.
So one of the officers took this perfectly set up photo coming directly from the officers perspective and then handed it over to be published?
Edit: I see the second mirror above her head but that still wouldn’t work unless there’s another person holding a mirror on the officers side. Idk if y’all have ever tried to line 3 mirrors up with what you are aiming at, but it’s fishy that they’d be able to do that in the turbulence of being at the front line of a protest.
I hope shes getting his good side
And if the cops break the mirror… more bad luck…
Plus if the police break the mirror, 7 years bad luck
Powerful image? Sure. But let’s remember that the media that took this picture are actually standing on the side of the cops and not with the people.
that’s fucking genius.
Ha, I’ve thought about doing this with my insane sister. Just whip out a mirror when she starts going batshit.
Love seeing this mirror idea used in a much bigger and important situation
Holy smokes! Great idea!
Do cops recognize themselves in a reflection?

That would make me reconsider my entire existence. From hero to pathetic, oppressive, scared, armored little boy once they look in the mirror.
Savage double-threat. 1)Force them to self reflect 2)if they break the mirror they are cursed for life.
That is fucking cool. Bad ass old lady protestor right there.
Simple, powerful and yet vulnerable, confrontational but passive. I’m amazed and humbled by this.
