That’s a no from me dawg. Which one of them is still going after all this time? Pokemon. Not that it’s never been awful, but the others only had a small handful of episodes, then stopped.
Dragon Quest — specifically Dragon Quest V — was actually the first game to employ the monster-capture mechanic that Pokemon would later popularize. Dragon Quest also pioneered a lot of other game mechanics we take for granted, including the JRPG genre itself with the first installment in the series.
honestly with how Pokemon is doing lately, and how the other series are, this is becoming unironic.
like, what does pokemon have right now besides recognition? their titles aren’t evolving as much, and while the other series may not be as popular, they still have a sizable following for a reason.
As a kid I liked digimon more because that’s the channel we got. Also it told stories of kids having to make adult decisions. Some kids live thru their parents’ ugly divorces, some lose a sibling, some live thru abuse. As a kid who struggled with life, I could better identify with the digimon kids than with Ash. I recently got back into the franchise and I love it.
Can’t say anything about yo kai watch and dragon quest monsters, but as a long time pokemon fan who only recently finished the original digimon series for the first time I can say both are good.
What a shame the West didn’t get more Dragon Quest Monsters games. The fan translation of Joker 3 Professional and Mysterious Key are great if you can get your hands on them.
Dairy Queen Monsters?
Only true chads know what Miscrits were
Maybe digimon but i literally never hard of the other two. No monster rancher either…
None of these are better they are all different. Why do we need to have the dislike of pokemon shoved down on throats on this /R.

Dragon warrior monsters 2 Tara/cobis adventure were actually really great.
I very much enjoy Pokemon BD&SM, otherwise known as Persona.
Try Monster Sanctuary! Its an amazing game.

Ah yo-kai watch such memories I can recall. I love em both pokémon and Yo-Kai to pieces wish Yo-kai watch didn’t disappear like it did.

The truth.
Where are all my Spectrobes fans at??
Just to clarify, I like Pokemon as well.
DQM represent
SMT as well. After all, SMT came BEFORE pokémon, so, It is the OG Monster (demons in this case) collecrting game.

Better than any of the Switch Pokémon games.
Hell, even Azure Dreams and Jade Cocoon could go on there. Forgotten epics, imo
bro pokemon fans have been hating on digimon since the dawn of time
