Mark Rober*
This is the trilogy Media video on it. They are doing great work to help protect innocent victims https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/ul5zrr/trilogy_media_jim_browning_mark_rober_vs_3_of_the/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
What is the best way to share this with people who can actually do something to stop these scumbags?
Should have released hornets. That’ll teach em!
Mark Rober could be *really* good at large-scale international terrorism if he put his mind to it.
Time to shut down some scam centers.
Had to save my elderly dad from sending these fucks a check for some $2k supposed antivirus. Thankfully he called me before he put it in the mail.
The production value is ridiculous for a cockroach prank
So what happened to the rats…? Poor guys, fucked up they got used as a prank.
I get that the goal was to make an entertaining video that would shine a light on these type of operations, but letting the scammers know that you have access to their communication systems, just for a quick “got ’em” seems really dumb to me, unless I’m missing something.
If some youtuber can do this, what is the government doing?
kind of disheartening that despite even knowing where the operation is and hacking into cctv, the extent of their power is pranks and glitter bomb. I’m sure they wish the could do more, but they realize they cannot do much or be a modern robin hood. and clearly the government/police do not do anything about them despite proofs that these companies are running a scam.
It’s so goddamn sad that this one guy does more to combat scams than our government will ever do.
Was that Macauly Culkin?
I caught these guys scamming my neighbor. She was about to send them 5k with the type your refund scam. Fuck them.
Wait, there’s a 55,000+ WhatsApp group, which suggested they shoot anyone involved in this operation if they spot them, and they showed this guy, Jonny’s face in the video? Isn’t he seriously at risk now?
How sad is it that a couple of youtube influencers are doing more to protect the elderly than our worlds governments.
Mark Roper.
These Guys: “We’re gonna glitter bomb and prank these scammers to teach them a lesson!”
The Scammers: “Shoot to kill.”
Like, WTF. I get it. They can’t endorse violence. But some of these places really need to just get hit by a SWAT team. Cut the phone lines, block cell signal, barricade the doors, and sweep through with a bunch of guys in body armor with batons. Beat the ever loving shit out of everyone in the building then leave.
Big shout out to the corrupt Indian police in Kolkata and Gurugram without whose help these scams could not possibly exist
“We don’t even know why they’re doing it”… seriously they wonder why people would want to attack a scam center? My guess is they’ve convinced themselves it’s all good, they believe their own lies.
The US should pass legislation to compensate victims out of foreign aid. That would create significant enough top-down pressure for busting these guys’ up.
Stop these scams by talking to your parents, grandparents, neighbors and older friends & family.

As someone who is in charge of managing a Western Union terminal for a supermarket, it angers me to no end when elderly people come in trying to send hundreds of dollars to their “grandson” who is “stranded in [insert Central American nation here] and needs bail money.” Even worse, is when I deny these transactions outright for their protection and they get angry and proclaim they’re going to a competitor to send the money. I know for a fact that there are other places that do not ask the pertinent questions they should be. And it depresses me so much that many of these elderly folks won’t listen to reason. Thankfully, the majority I come across understand why we deny these obvious fraudulent transactions. Same goes for gift cards. NEVER BUY GIFT CARDS BASED ON TEXTS OR EMAILS WITHOUT **SPEAKING** TO THE PERSON WHO YOU GOT THE MESSAGE FROM TO VERIFY IT. You never know if they’ve been phished.
Call me Mr Racist, but hanging up on any cold caller with an Indian accent saves a lot of time.
Although not as much time as just disconnecting your phone.
We need a better system than phone numbers. Single use numbers maybe. I generate a number, I give it to you and tag it. Anybody else calls it and I cancel that number and know you sold it.
And we need authenticated caller ID as well, because that shit is way too easy to fake. Each number should have a security certificate to “sign” the calls.
He doesn’t rope, he robes.
My sick mother got scammed by this crowd of cunts last year and the depression that followed buried her. Fuck these fucking fucks.
Just this week I got a call from my father asking me frantically “what are you doing?” and my reply of “I’m on my way to work. Why what’s up?” Then he got my grandfather on the line and told me to “Tell your papaw that your ok!”
These assholes had called my elderly grandparents and said that I, their grandson, had been in an car accident and had failed a sobriety test and was either in the hospital or in jail one I don’t recall. But I’ve turned my life around for the past couple years and have worked really hard to keep it that way. Not to mention my brother had committed suicide a couple years ago and for reasons I won’t go into my grandparents feel really guilty about.
I can’t begin to express the anger I have for that phone call I received from the two of them and the frantic panic in both of their voices thinking the worst. And my grandfather was near sending them that money because he knew how hard I had been working to turn my life around.
These scum deserve every bit of retribution they have coming their way and I only hope more people can continue to get the word out and educate the people they are targeting.
On one hand these scammers are a small minority of the Indian population. On the other hand, the authorities are totally complicit, so that official tie can’t be handwaved away.
