It’s a fun game, but I also highly encourage anyone who enjoyed it to try the sequel. It was Japan only, but there’s a romhack to translate it that’s perfect. The game has far more depth, more of an actual plot, the AI is actually competent at times, and just more cards to play with.
Despite the limitations of the video games, yeah, it’s a lot cheaper to play that than blowing endless amounts of money on physical cards and going to locals
I love the Pokémon tcg game boy game
Also the music on the Pokémon TCG on Gameboy is amazing.

my problem is finding friends who want to play
This game slaps and I wish they’d port the sequel.
I feel attacked.

Real talk though that’s like the second best Pokemon game behind Snap.
If the video game of the card game of the video game is so great, someone should make a card game out out it.
Also, you know, global pandemic and all that.
Your local game store is only a google away
Plenty of like minded nerds gather at the social watering hole
You don’t need friends to play card games, I know the guys at my local tourneys definitely don’t have friends.
Everytime i download a gameboy emu, this is the first game i get
One of my old friends used to go to Pokemon TCG tourneys, it was really weird.
I thought you only collect Pokemon cards, not use them.
You don`t need friends to play TCGs, just other people. Like, people who go to TCGs tournaments and clubs and stuff.
being the only person i knew interested in trading card games
The real punchline is someone knowing
how to actually play the TCG.
Pokemon TCG for Game Boy Color is AWESOME.
Y’ALL YOU CAN PLAY THE TCG FOR FREE ONLINE IT’S JUST LIKE MTG ARENA FOR POKEMON
