A breakdown of this film would be great. One could even consider it
A foggy mountain breakdown
Can’t wait to see this one. Love these guys on SNL, I’m excited to see what they can do with a feature length. Also Conan in his first actual acting role should be fun to watch.
Yes, please!
Interesting choice to have the leads of your film be three sad virgins.
This looks stupid as hell. Can’t wait.
I was just saying yesterday how bad i wanted Conan to be in a film. He deserves his own comedy.
seems fun
After The Lonely Island left SNL the show tried to fill the void with Digital Shorts that have been obvious attempts to emulate their comedic songs but have been for the most part forgettable.
I like that these guys have their own voice as a comedy team and didn’t need to go down that route.
They already got a movie.. what
I don’t understand why “pain au chocolat” made me laugh out loud, but it did.
I’m getting some Mystery Team vibes here. I’m in.
“It’s more nuanced than that” really got me.
I hate these fucking drips.
These guys are the only good thing from SNL in awhile. Beyond pumped to see what they can do with this!
…these guys just aren’t funny man
I don’t vibe with their style. I know about half *love* these PDD guys on the SNL sub, but the other half can’t stand them. Yup, I’m in the latter group.
Their humor seems more for 14-21 year olds who barely watched a movie beyond 1993.
Seems like a standard SNL film (Tommy Boy, Hot Rod, Night at the Roxbury, Superstar, The Ladies Man – descending in quality if you didn’t pick up on that . . .) trying to capitalize on whatever cultural cache there is to be had. This won’t be a great film, but the writers and filmmakers will certainly hope it will resonate with this generation and be considered a ‘classic’ in the years to come. Personally, I think there are too many goofy, obviously contrived/SFX sequences in the trailer alone to make anyone really enjoy this project end-to-end. But I could be wrong.
I actually like most of these guys’ short films on SNL so I certainly think they could pull off a decent film if they really tried to. I just don’t think this first project is it. Hopefully, they’ll use this as a learning experience and do something better next.
Please Don’t Destroy are good, but they’re very one note, if you’ve seen one of their sketches you’ve pretty much seen them all, which is fine in small doses like they were doing on SNL having one maybe every other week or so. I went to their show when they were in town and I remember laughing a lot at the beginning and then not so much as it went on. They did like 7-8 sketches I think and I can only remember like 2 of them off the top of my head. It’s always like present some regular situation and then just like waiting for the turn in the sketch to go off the rails. Their crowd work was really good though.
I love them, but I don’t think their humor can work for 90 minutes. I think Im going to be as disappointed as I was when I went to see the Tim and Eric movie.
Lorne Michaels wet dream.
I think these guys are way more cringe than they are enjoyably funny, but the sassy hawk did it for me for some reason. Not the chasing part but the “and you better stay up there” turn it did at the end…
I don’t wanna be a hater, but does anybody actually think these guys are funny? There’s literally not one funny moment in this trailer. I feel like SNL needed another Lonely Island so they put these dudes together like a boy band and shoved them down everybody’s throat. Two of them have rich famous Hollywood dads so that explains it. Lucky guys but their shit is wack.
These guys might be the least funny human beings on the planet.
I love their videos, and I think this movie will be hilarious
