I wasn’t expecting this game to hook me as hard as FC3 & FC Primal did, but here we are.
If you’re a fan of Primal this is likely as close to as sequel as we’ll get.
Pandora looks gorgeous, too. Best part of the game, imo. Definitely worth it when it goes on sale.
Worth it now if you’re a big fan of Far Cry Primal &/or Avatar.
2023 has been a legendary gaming year.

It’s fun to shit on the far cry formula, but it’s video game pizza, and I like pizza.
It’s really good yea, especially Pandora
It looks so fucking gorgeous. I took so many screenshots watching Digital Foundry’s video and many of them weren’t even at Unobtanium settings!
I’ll definitely play this one day.
Question: I was thinking of getting it but I played Far Cry 4 and 5 and wasn’t a huge fan of either of those games – is it pretty similar to those games or does it feel different? I’ve never played Primal.
Yeah it’s actually pretty fun. The world is absolutely stunning. Tip for anyone else playing, try turning the quest navigation or whatever it’s called in the settings from Guided to Exploration. Makes the quests more enjoyable actually having to figure out where to go
This was very much the closest sequel to far cry primal which I absolutely adored
I’ve been waiting for a Primal sequel for so long. Will definitely check this out.
Been co oping it with my girlfriend and we have had a lot of fun, we also enjoy the movies.
People like to dump on Avatar, but the movies have made over $5 billion, so apparently a lot of people like them (including me). I have this game on my wishlist, so hopefully I get it for Christmas.
so this game is really just far cry pandora edition? 😮 and is that a good thing? 😀 cause i love avatar and far cry…
I was kind of “whatever” with the game, but someone I was watching play it mentioned it was like Turok and my brain fucking clicked
Now that the association of that was made for me, I’m like “son of a bitches piqued my interest. Fuck!”
Now I want to get it.
I loved every Far Cry game for its gameplay. Pure fun after long day at work… so I pressume that Far Cry: Avatar would be good as well
I wish it was 3rd person
Maybe when it comes to steam or gamepass, until then, I hope it’s received well.
I wanted to explore Pandora. So picked it up for my Birthday. Look’s surprisingly good on PS5, nice graphics and feels good so far. It’s the environment I like
I’m glad to hear that, I had no faith in the game if I’m honest but I might eventually pick It up

Same. Playing through with the missus in co-op. Her on series x and me on PS5.
She usually isn’t one to take in details, but she’s having a blast just wandering around, scanning flora and fauna lol.
Just shows how much effort went in to the world itself.
can you pin people with the bow?
How’s performance?
mmmmmmmm, far cry 3 and primal are the only far cry games I like, should I??
I’ve never played a single Far Cry game, so I don’t know if I’ll enjoy this game more because of that.
That being said Avatar (and Star Wars) are absolutely perfect franchises for open world games and I do wonder if another studio could do them better than Ubisoft
You know what? I’m completely ok with Ubisoft taking their overused formulas and applying them to licensed projects.
This game has actually been really fun so far. That Star Wars outlaws game might actually be solid.
If you’re gonna give me the same type of game, dressing it up and making decent movie tie in games isn’t so bad.
Don’t do this to me…
I was waiting till next year/when it’s on sale to dive in to this game;
But that screenshot…it’s calling me…
“Nooo you have to hate it like we hate every game we play 😭”

I didn’t like the films, but when this game was announced, something clicked in my brain: the Avatar films feel like movies based on a game I haven’t played.
The clunky exposition, the focus on the unique environment, the weird mineral that makes no sense in the movie but it’s probably the bullshit currency needed to upgrade your character or level up all imply a decade of video game lore that doesn’t actually exist.
I can’t wait to play this game one day
If you play on PC or Xbox just pay a month of Ubisoft+ and enjoy, perhaps if you also want to try out the new prince of Persia wait a few weeks and you’ll be able to try both paying a single month of the sub.
I’ll do it for both games and if I like them I’m gonna buy them later in a sale.
I was kind of in the same boat as most people from what I’ve seen. Building up to it was like “cool, but, eh.” I ended up buying it on a whim. And was blown. The fuck. Away. Not many open world games pop up where I would rather WALK across the map rather than fast travel.
> If you’re a fan of Primal this is likely as close to as sequel as we’ll get.
You’re speaking my language, does it have the little ‘build up a town’ vibes that primal had?
This picture is exactly why I wish it was 3rd person. Lol
Let me see my blue dude go run through all that, or sneak up on some RDA. Wanna see my character in that world
Are there micro transactions?
I had to go hunting for reviews this weekend. The game has got barely any of the gaming news channels chatting and the critics are typically critical and just copy-pasting what they say about Ubisoft every time.
I can’t help feeling it’s weird, they’ve created a genuinely unique world to explore and the criticism will be on on the mechanics feeling like another game.
I can’t help but feel like, if this was my first open world fps game… or, if we had this game to play 15 years ago, how would the critics sound?
(Still not decided to get it but a unique world to explore is the tempting element for me)
Same, it’s much better than I expected
even if the trailer came right out of nowhere im glad avatar is looking great and probably will get a decent score (atleast compare to most licensed video games)
