You can actually see their office in the level Final Sin right before you get to the boss chamber. Look to the left after you get to the destroyed bridge.
I literally cannot imagine how to play doom eternal with a controller. Especially on higher difficulties it should be impossible. The gameplay just becomes so fast and autistic.
