I really want to like these games. I tried Like A Dragon this week and while I found the story really engaging I just couldn’t get past the cutscenes one after another. Which is odd because I loved Death Stranding.
Does it get to a point where there’s more gameplay between cutscenes?
Edit: Appreciate all the replies, gonna have to give it another go!
What I don’t like are some of the minigames being too tedious of a grind just to maximize certain things in the game. It’s hard being a completionist in this game. Otherwise, I really like the series.

I played the whole series over the last couple of years, and it may be my all time favorite franchise.
Closed it after 1 hour, then uninstalled. Don t understand the hype. Nothing happened in that fkin hour, just dialogue and cinematics.

What arrrrrre youuuuuuu?

Playing a Yakuza game had me ponder the meaning of existence… while a 30 minute cutscene played… for the 4th time… in a row.
Just wrapped up Yakuza 6 last night
I have Like a Dragon installed, think it may be next on my list once I finish Spider-Man
Heard this in Gene Belchers voice: “This is me now!”
Playing Yakuza 0 right now to start the series… the dialogue is shocking lol.
You are always who you are!
Whenever I look in the mirror, I think of Undertale: “Despite everything, it’s still you.”
Going through Ishin right now and it’s better than I thought it’d be
Hey, I’m playing origins now, but it’s not clicking with me yet. I just got to the first character swap. The story just isn’t clicking with me yet.
I envy everyone who is about to start the series or already hooked while playing Zero. Emotions and the memories you’ll make here are incredible.
Must. Go. Karaoking. At. Bar
Tell me about it. Is there any other game that combines super serious story lines with ridiculously comical everything else to this degree?
