As of this point, I’m not sure of any specific reason given for the lack of attendance. I’d hope that it is because of China’s known and documented repression and abuse of political prisoners. I think we as a society should boycott all things China. I support China’s citizens, but I absolutely abhor their government.
So, yeah, I hope NHL players choose to boycott.
Good. No chance anyone was going to want to be stuck in China for 3 weeks if COVID positive.
