I’d definitely watch this, but wtf is “screambox?”
Speaking of which, I remember reading an interview with Andy Muschietti when IT Part 2 was wrapping up where he said they were working on editing Parts 1 and 2 together into one movie, which is more how the book plays out.
Wondering if that’s still in the works… could also be a fun fan project I’ve thought about doing, though I’ve got way too many other projects in the queue right now.
I do think Part 2 wasn’t as good as Part 1 but perhaps it would be improved if they were intercut together. I just found 2 to be very repetitive with each of the adults going off and doing their own thing and breaking it up more would help.
Also wondering if they shot any extra scenes that could be reinserted. Having read the book, the adults’ introductions showing where they’re at in life before they went back to Derry were way longer and more in depth than the quick little vignettes we get in the movie.
EDIT: Now realizing this documentary is just about the old mini-series and my comment is not as relevant. Regardless I think both versions have a lot of great parts and a lot of flaws, but I enjoyed them both as a huge King fan.
Tim Curry killed that role. Had it been a movie, he could have gotten even better with an R rating. People forget that it was made for tv and had a PG-13 rating
Wait so is this about ‘IT’ as a whole. Like the book aswell as the tv movie and the 2 modern movies? Or is it strictly about the tv movie?
Hell yeah! I wanna watch this immediately. I’ve seen that miniseries so many times. These are the kinds of niche docs that I love to see. It’s such a specific thing, but I love that thing and will eat this up. Now I want them to do these for The Stand and Storm of the Century.
