I’m really looking forward to this, but heartbroken the Halt and Catch Fire guy had to pull out of it.
He’s not listed in the credits on imdb, but I could have sworn I heard Jason Mantzoukas.
Doesn’t surprise me they’re adapting this. Lots of Stranger Things vibes except with girls instead of boys as the main characters.
If it’s done well and the young actresses are good this should be fun.
I just finished reading the graphic novel. I can’t wait for this!
After seeing this trailer, which I wasn’t blown away by, and seeing what happened to Y: The Last man, I don’t trust anyone else adapting any of Brian K Vaughans work. Everyone who isn’t HBO needs to stay away from Saga. It’s the best comic I’ve read and I can’t handle them butchering it.
Looks fun, Ali Wong is funny as shit!
The thing about Paper Girls and one of its main points of difference from Stranger Things, is that it’s much, much bigger in scope, and an accurate adaptation should require a pretty big, blockbuster-sized budget.
This trailer didn’t give me that vibe at all, but I’ll remain cautiously optimistic.
You can tell they’re tight on budget but I don’t have high hopes for this. It looks so watered down from the source material that it feels like a stranger things knockoff.
And both of them always got compared to each other but Paper Girls was so much more sci-fi, which looks mostly missing here.
