It was a tragic ending. đź’”
I’ve only recently been aware how young he was when he died. R.I.P. 🕊️🤍✨
What moron would downvote this?
Unbelievable performer. Gotta admit though I still think of Nuke Lalush’s version with “Women get wooly”
I was in 7th grade English class when word go out that he died. A black friend, Herman Brightful, was crying. I knew Dock of the Bad but never realized how revered he was in the black community.
Complete bad ass
Otis and “The Wicked” Wilson Pickett are two of my favorites.
God he was brilliant.
Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick talked to my class in college back in the 90’s and spoke about being at the venue Otis was traveling to when the word came in that they tragically weren’t going to arrive. Pretty harrowing.
One of a kind as a vocalist and a sensational artist
Beautiful voice. Such a great loss. My favorite is “Dock of the Bay.”
Cleveland, where I’m born….
Great performance! What a voice. It’s not the worst thing to go out at the top of your game.
RIP Otis Redding
Thanks for giving all you had, and making our lives that much more beautiful.
