One of my friends visited a corn maze with her 4 other girlfriends. They ended up not being able to find their way out for over 1.5 hours and began freaking out as it was getting close to sundown.
One of the girls completely broke down and had a massive panic attack so they had to call 911 to have someone come save them. The dispatchers relayed to the farm owners and they sent two farm hands in to go retrieve the group.
I died laughing when she told me the two guys literally just walked through the corn stalks to get them and had them walk a straight line out of the maze 🤣
How do people even get lost in corn fields? They’re literally planted in rows, just follow a row until the field stops. They’re not endless fields of corn.
I heard something about following a stuck out arm to the left and you can get out, don’t know the exact wording and don’t know if it’s true but seeing left written twice on that sign has made me believe it more

Around spring time, after the snow melts
they leave some people in the cornfield as a source of free scarecrows and fertilizer
