In this version the boat doesn’t sink.
I believe this will have a 48fps version but I’m very wary about a 2d film being turned 3d and HFR
For someone who never got the chance to see this movie in theatres this is fantastic. I will be watching this for sure

My wife dragged me to see this the first time they re-released it in 3D.
I was expecting another shitty 3D experience, but it was actually pretty cool and better than most other 3D movies I saw in the theater.

I missed out on the 3d rerelease, would love to see it as a regular release. I saw it in theaters when I was 5 years old and was obsessed with it, so much so that my mom bought me one of those encyclopedia books that covered everything from the beginning of construction to the discovery of the sink site. I wish I still had that book.
I remember seeing this in the theatre with my grandma when I was like 9 or 10. She covered my eyes during the sex scene.
Then we bought the movie… and it came on two VHSs!!!

Now we can all finally see the finer details like the evil otters sitting on the iceberg with their power drills
Very few movies look good in 3D. I used to own a 3D TV when it was all the rage a decade ago. Most movies were obviously not filmed in 3D and weren’t worth the upgraded Blu-ray purchase.
Although it wasn’t my favorite movie, Hugo looked amazing in 3D and nothing came close to it. I wish every 3D movie looked and felt like that, but it never really caught on for mass adoption

I heard the 3D for Titanic (at least in the previous time it was released) was one of the best post-conversion jobs ever done.
Titanic has flaws but it didn’t deserve the hype backlash it got in the 90s. When people went to see The Phantom Menace, they booed at the trailer for The Beach simply because it had the guy from the boat movie in there.
