So is the building at the center in the bottom Space Mountain? What about the one on the left, I’m sure I’ve seen that on some other Pixar media before but I can’t remember what.
I can’t get over how off Lightyear looks, like this is supposed to be “the real story” behind the toy but his head looks like they photoshopped a completely different character with a completely different art design onto the head of the toy and it looks off
It’s such a weird thing. A fictional character one level within the fictional world of the Toy Story Universe represented in their own movie… Like we are two steps away from a base reality. It’s not like Buzz Lightyear is the Neil Armstrong of Andy’s world they certainly don’t have intergalactic space travel. And how am I supposed to care on a deep level when I’m constantly reminded that he is **JUST A TOY**!
Thanks Woody :/
edit: Of course Neil Armstrong never left the galaxy.. I was just referring to the tech displayed in the film in question.
I hate this animation style. The character faces are ripped straight off Illumination movies, but then every other detail of the movie goes for almost photo realism? It’s so gross
I always thought Buzz was wearing a standard Star Command spacesuit, so I was surprised to see all these uninspired, po-faced military outfits on every other character.
It bothers me that they didn’t go with a 90s aesthetic at all. If this is “the movie Andy saw that made him love Buzz,” then it should be set in the early 90s. Just lame that they couldn’t commit to the bit
Expectations: turn the first scene (the video game) of toy story 2 (or the Disneyland ride) into a movie and it’ll be exactly as envisioned
Reality from trailers and images: Disney hyper realistic computer graphics because they can, cat, 3 new people who look like they fit in a real space program (and not whatever buzz light-year is in), cat, oh yeah and antagonist zurg I guess, if he doesn’t have a giant tri blaster then get a refund for the movie. Oh did i mention the cat?
Reddit is definitely going to love this poster.
Kitty got the catnip eyes stare…
That looks like Mavs owner Mark Cuban.
Something about the huge eyes on everyone is putting me off of the animation style.

I can’t see images of this movie without thinking about some tweet that said
“Buzz looks like the cop that turns his body camera off”
My first thought: CHIN
Wasn’t light-year supposed to be a caricature of square jawed American movie heroes?

Those are definitely Zaku II inspired
Why is this movie
So…will zurg be his father?
I wonder if they call him Buzz because it looks like a bee stung his chin?
Pixar’s next picture, and the animal included so they can be turned into a marketable plushie.

Movie posters look so generic nowadays
Gotta put the cat front-and-center in the image so kids want the plushie badly
I never even imagined Buzz Lightyear with hair

Does this mean they are gonna make a western show for woody?
I like how they just fucking gave up at insert_cute_animal_we_can_use_to_sell_this_shit,
Like “yea man he just has a cat fuck it”
Why does he look like the assistant manager at a Domino’s?

Oh gosh all the characters have these intense smile eyes like

Why do so many movie posters use this boring template?
How much money do you think Disney spent to get this over 10k upvotes?
Bring back Tom Allen
The desnign looks so generic Pixar.
I never knew Disney had it in them to make a movie that looks so resistible
