I loved everything in the Jersey Saga until Reboot, goddamn that was awful. Smith seems to have lost touched. I liken him to Howard Stern who became the very thing he used to make fun of.
First was great, second was so-so (Rosario Dawson was an amazing bright spot in an otherwise meh movie). Still, Kevin Smith is pretty hilarious, so I’ve got my fingers crossed for this one.
I’ll probably see it on Cable/Streaming, but it’s definitely not a ‘must-see’ movie. I used to love Kevin Smith, but his own hubris really took him down during/after Clerks 2.
I’m wondering if that is supposed to be Dante and Becky’s kid on the far left, if he was born right after Clerks 2 the character would be about 15-16 now.
Can’t wait for all the subtle humor and relatable experiences that a 50 year old who lives in a mansion can bring to the experience of working in the service industry in 2022.
I have a soft spot for Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse. Outside the first Clerks, Chasing Amy (which I’ll admit is a little problematic today on the whole turning a lesbian bisexual aspect, but it’s still one of his best films in terms of writing and acting) and Dogma, none of the films are really that great and they are a little dumb. But they are fun dumb. Even Reboot, which I had seen the very divisive response to the film and even in this thread there is people shitting on it (which that is their opinion and film is subjective), but I enjoyed seeing those characters back and found the film pretty funny, even though I acknowledge it is by far the weakest in the View Askewniverse. Clerks has always been his most relatable series of films and his most personal (even Clerks II felt personal despite being weaker than the first, but I still found it funny and enjoy those characters), so I’m looking forward to the 3rd film.
Wonder why they’re still wearing Mooby’s shirts.

Hopeful, but concerned for this one.
Wait what now!
Didn’t even know this was happening
I want to hear Jay rant about the state of the Devils for the last decade.

Please don’t suck
Never saw the first one
I wonder what Kevin Smith we’ll get with this. Pre-Clerks 2 K.S, or the guy that made that Walrus movie
Who is on the far left side of the poster?
I’m guessing that is Elias in LARP gear in the middle.
37?
Maybe it’ll end with a giant spider coming to destroy everything.

I’m 45 and bought a skateboard during lockdown, I imagine this is gonna be the movie equivalent of that

Piss off

This movie does not need to exist.
Yes
RANDAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just please keep silent bobs daughter out of it. She’s just terrible….
I’m not a huge fan of the Clerks movies. I’m surprised how excited I am by this poster.
the last of the Jay and silent bob stuff has been pretty shit …. lets hope this is more like clerks2
Let it die. Please, God, let it die.
I guess he bankrolled this himself after the hot mess that was Clerks II
Just not feeling this one at all. I guess Kevin ran out of ideas.
Dante’s wig looks terrible. Sigh, I hope this movie is at least watchable unlike more recent Kevin Smith movies.
